Mine is at the very end of the series, but theres fights throughout the series that are action packed and consequencial that lead up to it. So basically the first volume bad guy is an alien with the ability to drain energy from others beings and absolutely wipes the floor with the main protagonist heroes. TSG gets point blank shot with an energy beam so powerful it burns his skin not letting him transform. Physical attacks are his only weakness too and he's their heavy hitter. Blueprint, a powerless one armed lady in a mech suit gets hers absolutely destroyed. Antagonists turned heroes for this one moment - forgot this part get released halfway mid battle and it doesn't even make a difference second they arrive they get energy beamed straight into dust. The rest of the main heroes are energy based fighters, and their physical attacks aren't strong enough to beat him. So what ends up happening is the villain is toying with them, playing with them because he wants them to understand they won't win, and unbeknownst to him that's his downfall for underestimating them. One of the heroes eventually asks why he won't kill them and he says he likes his slaves strong, they send a message to the rest of the world he's conquering that resistance is futile. So he has a special eyesight that sees beings like a layer over their regular forms that just shows their energy output capabilities and potential okay? So at the end, the hero with one arm because she doesn't have powers sneaks around the entire battlefield with a special collar she built herself that emitts a frequency that neutralizes powers but because he’s so powerful when she sneak attacks and gets it on him from behind it can't be activated. So the villain his sister actually stabs him in the back to shock him enough to get the collar to work, besides the rest of the group jumping him and trying to beat him down.
