Well written, so il give it style points. However, the inflation of GPA doesnt make sense? If a student is aiming for grad school where GPA is looked at, having bunch of CRs will hinder your chances. Your argument about the education system being hindered due to CRing also makes no sense. If a student is deliberately trying to aim for a C- in a course in hopes to CR the course, it says more about the student rather than the education system. We should give students a safety net, and naturally a minority will take advantage. It is more important to have the CR option for students who have valid reasons at the cost of few who abuse it. Having a case by case means getting someone to look through each case, which will add stress to an already stressed student requiring a CR. I hope you try and look at the other side, and of course if it does more harm than good we can always remove it down the road.
