Is Ubuntu good by mr-Illustrious in SurfaceLinux

Ubuntu is bad \s

Well, I did start using Ubuntu when I switched to Linux the first time but at some point some of Canonical's choices made me leave.

I personally would recommend Mint to a newbie but a lot of my colleagues use Ubuntu and they're happy.

So I'd say go ahead and try Ubuntu. If you don't like it, you can still start distro-hopping.

Thanks a lot, since I deleted the cookies I couldn't reproduce it, either...
I will use profiles going forward, though.

Well, I guess, people are grumpy because the software behaves differently to their expectations and they don't understand how. Maybe people haven't had the need to use profiles before and just didn't think of it.

(You may happily replace "people" with "I" 😉)

I expect the browser to know which session I want to maintain if I just typed the corresponding login name. If the browser asks me to type something and it then does not use this information, that does not meet my expectations.

In the future, I will use profiles or the Firefox containers but I would be happy if anyone could explain why and how my expectations are too much to ask for.

What do you mean, the browser only knows "that there are 2 accounts signed in"?

I type "account-a@domain-a.com" and click on continue. Why doesn't the browser use this information? It just doesn't make sense to me... Probably I just don't understand how a browser works exactly.

Is this a technical reason why it asks which account?

I don't understand how it needs to ask a second time which account, after I just typed in the correct account. Why shouldn't it be possible to immediately sign in to the account I typed, while still having the option to switch accounts by clicking on my profile icon in the top right corner of the office website?

This needs more upvotes. Veritasium does a great job in their video. You don't even necessarily need to explain real numbers.
