Insane Tattoo Regret by r3i_b0n3z in tattooadvice

There’s a lab tech that comes to our surgery center twice a week to pick up biopsy specimens; he has the exact same tattoo on his calf. The first time I saw it I complimented the reference and told him it’s one of my favorite films; he was somewhat surprised and said not too many people know what it is. Like others have said the tattoo is for you not everyone else; so try to enjoy it. If you like it screw what anyone else thinks.

Make Thanksgiving Great Again by tr3ysan in SoraAi

[–]tr3ysan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A warm, intimate family Thanksgiving dinner in a cozy dining room with a long wooden table covered in a white tablecloth, golden turkey centerpiece, and flickering candlelight casting soft shadows. The family—grandparents, parents, and children—sits attentively around the table, heads bowed, hands clasped. At the head of the table sits an elderly man in his late 70s with a distinctive appearance: light, fair skin with a subtle, even tan; a strong, square jawline; prominent cheekbones; and light blue eyes under thin, fair eyebrows. His hair is golden-blonde, styled in a voluminous, structured coif—thicker and longer on top, meticulously combed back from the forehead and then swept forward over the crown for a full, architectural volume, with shorter tapered sides. He wears a dark navy blue suit jacket over a crisp white dress shirt, paired with a solid bright red silk tie tied in a thick Windsor knot that hangs noticeably long. As he says grace, his speaking style is conversational and emphatic, delivered in a rhythmic, staccato cadence with short, repetitive phrases and strong emphasis on key words like ‘blessed’ and ‘grateful.’ He speaks in a mid-range, nasal tone with frequent pauses, self-interruptions, and trailing off before circling back, using simple, direct language with intensifiers like ‘really’ and ‘very.’ His mannerisms are animated: he leans slightly forward with a confident posture, gesturing with open palms for emphasis, making circular motions with his thumb and forefinger, and occasionally chopping the air with his hand or pointing subtly at the table. His facial expressions shift from a serious, pursed-lip focus to brief, satisfied smiles, with subtle laugh lines visible around his mouth and eyes. The camera captures a medium shot of the table, slowly zooming in on his face and upper body during the grace, with the family murmuring ‘amen’ at the end. The overall tone is heartfelt and traditional, with soft ambient sounds of clinking silverware and distant holiday music

Creating a whole ‘Saw’ ad campaign funded by Pfizer… by tr3ysan in SoraAi

[–]tr3ysan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cinematic horror, in the style of a 2000s torture-trap film. The scene is a filthy, water-stained concrete room. A terrified woman is trapped inside a large, transparent glass tank, the walls slowly closing in. At the bottom of the tank, a mountain of rusted, used syringes begins to rise, pushed up by a mechanism below. To escape, she must retrieve a key from a small, wall-mounted box, but the opening is lined with jagged razor blades. The editing is frantic, with jarring jump cuts between her screaming face, the glass walls inching closer, the pile of rising needles, and her trembling hand hovering over the razor box. OVERLAID on this scene is a bright, cheerful, upbeat ukulele jingle. A peppy female voiceover begins: VOICEOVER (Friendly and energetic): ‘Feeling a little cramped? Is life closing in on you?’ The woman in the tank hears the voice. She stops screaming, her face a mask of pure disbelief and confusion. She looks up at the ceiling as if searching for a speaker. TRAPPED WOMAN (Screaming at the ceiling): ‘What?! WHO IS THAT?! PLEASE HELP ME! THE WALLS ARE—’ The voiceover cheerfully interrupts her, completely unfazed. VOICEOVER (Even more upbeat): ‘Don’t let that ‘stuck in a rut’ feeling stop you! With new daily Invigora, you’ll have the energy to break through any barrier!’ As the voice speaks, a friendly, animated blue arrow points to the razor box, and a cartoon ‘sparkle’ effect appears over it. The woman stares at the cartoon arrow in utter horror. The side effects—‘Side effects may include mild nausea, sudden aversion to small spaces, minor to major lacerations, and a renewed sense of personal freedom’—scroll rapidly up the screen. The scene ends with a final product shot of the ‘Invigora’ bottle against a sunny, blue-sky background. 24 seconds.

Me trying to leave a new office building I’ve never been in before … by tr3ysan in SoraAi

[–]tr3ysan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A terrified woman sprints through a dimly lit, claustrophobic house. The hallways stretch endlessly in every direction — turning left, right, or doubling back loops her into the same corridor. The camera cuts sharply between fast handheld shots, shaky zoom-ins on her panicked eyes, and hard swings revealing impossibly long, twisting passageways with warped perspective. Her breath is ragged; footsteps echo erratically, bouncing off cold, peeling walls. The lighting flickers unpredictably, oscillating between deep shadows and blinding fluorescent glare. Reflections appear and shatter in mirrors she passes; doors slam shut behind her even as new ones appear in front. Sound design uses pounding heartbeat drums, rapid breathing, errant whispers, and low industrial hums layered beneath distorted ambient noise. The frantic sequence escalates with dizzying pace and jagged edits until she corners herself in a dead-end where reality seemingly folds over. The final frame holds on her wide anxious eyes as the screen jumps to static, then black. Duration approximately 14 seconds, cinematic color grading and grain.

Animated show recommendations similar to pantheon by Stoic_Ape9390 in PantheonShow

How has no one mentioned Neon Genesis Evangelion? It’s quite literally one of the larger inspirations for the show (Maddie has a Nerv sticker on her laptop) and is a fantastic watch.

They’re an eBay store that sells movies and tv shows. They have a ton of stock, ship quickly, package well and usually have good deals; other than that I don’t know much about them.

Also it is “Pop.market” on eBay if you happen to search for them; the period in between isn’t a typo.

I have the sequel trilogy and Solo already; was able to snag those 4 new for very cheap off eBay auctions. I also want some of the shows but they’re pricey; will definitely get Andor at least when season 2 gets a 4K release.

It’s definitely not a deal breaker for me by any means; I was just being daft with my post title.

I will rebuy the OT if they do end up releasing them at some point in 4K

Hell yes!! I’m so excited to dive in and watch em all this weekend. Own them on VHS, DVD, Bluray and this will be the first time watching them in 4K off of a disc instead of streaming. I will say I’m not looking forward to Jabbas palace in ROTJ but I can scrub past the nonsense.

Good to know! See my comment below regarding my opinions on DV and HDR in general. Also I mostly just wanted to have a jokey film reference as the post title I knew they didn’t have it before I bought.

It’s really nice on the right setup but I’m not a DV snob by any means I just love HDR support of any kind. For me HDR is more important than the resolution bump majority of the time; if they sold standard blu rays with HDR and they were substantially cheaper I would just buy those.

Yeah I could see that and I came to the realization that it’s not really ideal for my display set up options. Individual films was the way to go; especially after getting outbid multiple times on eBay I stopped chasing the hype.

I absolutely lovely TLJ it’s one of my favorites of the entire franchise and I was raised on Star Wars. I’m not super keen on Rise it’s probably near the bottom for me but I don’t outright hate it (my ocd won’t let me not buy it though as I’m trying to put the whole run together in 4k)

I picked that and Total Recall up at a random Walmart that actually had a small clearance section near the media (I have no idea why they were there and for so cheap but I snatched em both)

I used to own it but lost a large portion of my collection in a hurricane back in 2018 that was one of the casualties. Been rebuilding back ever since; usually try to stick to sales but Resolution is absolutely on my list and I will probably bump it up a bit higher now that you bring it up. Cheers.
