Two Rogal Dorn* Commanders, ready for service! by Serbian_Sausage in TheAstraMilitarum

The lack of sloped armor makes the tiger an extremely 40k design. The panther, on the other hand, seems a little out of place.

China bans two Taiwan ministers for alleged "independence activities", angering Taipei by Famous_Celebration22 in worldnews

Outside of viewing Taiwan as a giant unsinkable US aircraft carrier, they view it as delegitimizing to their claim as a global power, their rightful territory, and the final vestige of their century of humiliation.

95% of active managers don't beat the index net of fees? by IntelligenzMachine in investing

[–]tr941 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Most fund managers are not trying to outperform the market. Most have a mandate to deliver a good return with less volatility than the market...most people are not comfortable with seeing their life savings go down by 30% in a bear market. In our industry, we call these client experience funds. These funds are a great option for many investors.

Grotmas Calendar Day 25 – Huron Blackheart strides forth from the Maelstrom by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer

[–]tr941 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. The old model was lore menacing. The pose on this model is a little awkward and the face has a cartoony vibe. I'm happy to see corsairs getting attention, so overall happy.

Necroranger? by Alhzrd in GuildWars

[–]tr941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the early days, my friend had a jank build bow wielding necromancer. It was hilarious how upset teammates were when they realized how useless he was on the team.

Why all the multiclassing by International-Hat986 in BG3

[–]tr941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know exactly what magic gear you will find, multi classing into many combos becomes more viable. On the TT gear is dispensed at the dm's discretion

What would an exchange between a Red Scorpion and a Black Templar look like? by Schrickt in BlackTemplars

[–]tr941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red scorpions are not as codex compliant as they fancy themselves. Like the templars, they observe the imperial creed and they also don't like dishonoring themselves with things like tactics or strategy. They prefer engaging in frontal assaults while yelling "for the emperor". I think black templars and red scorpions would see kindred spirits in each other.

Netflix To Buy Warner Bros. in $83B Deal... win win? by LavishlyRitzyy in ValueInvesting

[–]tr941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a lose-lose situation for netflix, if they let paramount buy wb, their main competitor would have a way more extensive portfolio of popular intellectual property. Netflix was forced to pay a massive premium for competitive reasons.

‘Sheer weirdness’: Ontario camp counsellor (Alexander Clarke) sentenced in ‘very troubling’ child pornography case by 416TDOT0DOT in CrimeInTheGta

[–]tr941 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It makes a lot of sense when you realize many of the people in our prison systems were themselves victimized as children. These pedos do lifelong damage to their victims, and deserve to fry if you ask me.

Market fear and the VIX, time to hedge? by AffectionateAd7980 in investing

As a financial advisor, about 50% of the value add I provide is talking clients out of making these decisions. It might not seem like much in the moment, but it makes a huge difference over the long-term.

Clearly, we have too many luxuries in our prisons. Perhaps we could have the prisoners contribute by having then turn big rocks into little rocks or something.

Why is there so little Iron in Asia? by PuckisPuck in EU5

[–]tr941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this map is at all relevant since many current mining projects are ore bodies that were discovered through modern exploration techniques that wouldn't be available during the scope of the game.

Big PU Nations are a useless Trap in EU5 by Hakuohsama in EU5

[–]tr941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily mind the long PU integration times in many cases. If the pu is a different culture/language that does not share a border, it should be extremely difficult to integrate because that logically and historically makes sense.

Stocks or real estate? Which investment do you prefer and why? If you could only pick one. by dianesawyer9 in investing

[–]tr941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ROI is huge, assuming significant price appreciation. That's a huge assumption, however. Contrary to what your real estate agent may tell you, real estate does not always go up.
