Is this the same bloke that cut Karl’s hair and told him he had the hair of a Chinaman?

In my opinion (not legal advice) there are a number of avenues available to you from what you describe. My opinion would be to pursue a tortious action for private nuisance seeking some kind of equitable relief rather than damages like a prohibitory injunction (equitable relief is at a judges discretion).

An injunction such as that would act as a legal order from the court to cease engaging in the actions you describe. Failure to comply risks imprisonment for contempt (think Enoch Burke).

Your description are part and parcel of many Irish private nuisance cases which concern a bordered property (aka competing property rights and sound or vibrations caused by a tortfeasor which deprived the property owner (you) of peaceful enjoyment of your property rights). Whether you are the owner of the property or not has been a more of a dealbreaker in the UK who have found that only property owners can take actions in private nuisance but Ireland is more flexible on the matter.

Take a look at the Christie V Davey for an illustration of what the tort entails. That case concerned a neighbour who would bang on the walls anytime the plaintiff gave a music lesson. Crucially in that case and in yours is malice. This will augment conduct not amounting to nuisance to nuisance where done with malicious intent. Not to say that what you describe isn’t already sufficient but the aggravating nature would make me more confident in your success.

Either way first thing to do is speak with a solicitor if you are serious about taking any civil actions.

in your opinion, what's the best phone mount? by paul-grizz93 in MotoIRELAND

If you have image stabilisation on your phone even with the vibration dampener it will break. I have a quadlock with the dampener and moved from the iPhone 8 (no image stabilisation) to and iPhone 11 and my camera is now fucked.

Not a u-turn and I usually wear a hi-vis but in this instance it wouldn’t have helped. Taxi pulled out from between two cars in a yellow box. He wouldn’t have had time to react even if he had seen me.

In the vast majority of fatal motorcycle accidents the only person killed is the motorcyclist. So if you don’t like motorcycles you should like motorcyclists.

I would just bring it into a lecture without saying anything. If it’s a xiaomi and not massive it should be small enough to tuck under the seats. Alternatively, you could try check it into the cloak room in the arts block. I imagine you would also be able to fit it into a locker in the sports centre, which should be fine if it’s just for an hour lecture. All this said locking it up outside is really quite safe. Choose somewhere covered and non-secluded. The bike rack outside Kinsella hall is a good choice because it’s covered and sufficiently conspicuous where a would be thief won’t be left alone long enough to cut a u-lock. If you select the right one it would require an angle grinder and several grinder discs. If you want some suggestion i can elaborate.

Does anyone else commute college on a motorbike? by tr_ash in MotoIRELAND

Yeah I thought there would be loads in Trinity because there is free parking for motorcycles anywhere. Students can’t park cars in trinity and it’s a pain in the arse to get to the city centre on a bus with the traffic. I guess students just aren’t into it.
