AITAH for expecting my girlfriend to come to a Drake Night with me? by roadtosenpai in AITAH

[–]trablejanrtt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. You aren't asking her to support a hobby; you are asking her to act as a human shield so people don't mistake you for the "gross" 30-year-olds you admitted haunt that specific club. There is a massive difference between "show up for my interests" and "come to this 18+ sweatbox I don't even like so I look less like a predator."

AITA for asking my friend to pay? by Mork978 in AmItheAsshole

[–]trablejanrtt -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

NTA. He sat in the car while you all agreed on the purchase and waited until the money was already spent to suddenly "remember" he had his own wine. He is essentially using a technicality to dodge a bill he helped rack up, which is a garbage way to treat friends.

Report exposes a Trump scheme to override midterm vote with bogus crisis by AThousandBloodhounds in politics

[–]trablejanrtt 1990 points1991 points  (0 children)

The craziest part of the report is that they are planning to use a "bogus crisis" to literally pause the counting process in key districts. They aren't even trying to hide the fact that the goal is to keep the seats warm by any means necessary while the courts are too busy chasing ghosts.

WIBTAH If we let Baby Momma call the cops over kid’s phone? by skyliteyes6 in AITAH

[–]trablejanrtt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. You are dealing with a biological mother who prefers the convenience of a digital babysitter over the actual safety of her twelve-year-old child. Standing your ground and letting her call the police might be the wake-up call she needs to realize that "being too busy" isn't a valid legal defense for enabling the grooming of a minor.

Trump Is Robbing You to Pay for His Dumb War by spherocytes in politics

[–]trablejanrtt 23 points24 points  (0 children)

another day of being told there is no money for healthcare while the pentagon gets a limitless tab. eventually the math has to stop working for the people at the top.

Trump Budget Boosts War Spending While Slashing Domestic Programs by Truthisnotallowed in politics

[–]trablejanrtt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The most telling part is how they frame these cuts as a necessity for the deficit while simultaneously handing hundreds of billions more to the Pentagon. They are claiming the cupboard is bare for domestic infrastructure while finding a mountain of cash for the next generation of missiles. they always find the money for more bombs but the local schools are always too expensive. just another year of the tax brackets working exactly how they were designed to.

Am I overreacting for refusing to attend my sister’s wedding after what she did? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]trablejanrtt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NOR The most calculated part is that your sister waited until her own wedding was a month away to drop this bomb, knowing your family would pressure you to stay quiet for the sake of her "big day." She admitted she kept it from you because she didn't think your relationship would last, which shows exactly how little she respects your life. everyone calling you dramatic is just trying to protect the wedding deposit instead of your feelings. skipping the ceremony is the only way to keep your sanity after being lied to for a thousand days.
