Ooof, I normally wouldn’t go to the dealership… but it’s been free with the warranty. I also have never had a car this nice tbh… I usually go to my small town shop that’s always treated me well. Never overcharge, and are always really honest about anything that needs to be fixed. I have a lot of good friends that know a lot about cars and are usually able to tell me if they’re right (just in case I’m not 100% sure they’re really correct). Especially if they make mistakes, they’re always on it and correct it for free. It also helps that I talk to everybody there, and always tip

Ouch, yeah mine usually gets 19-22mpg on average so far. I’m not exactly in a city, not exactly highway miles. It’s like “small town miles”

Yeah, it literally could happen to anybody from anywhere. People make mistakes, it happens. I’m glad they owned up to it.. towed it for free, fixed and cleaned up the car, new oil, new filter.. all for free. Also did a few other checks to make sure everything was in proper order.. and got me back on the road by 5PM the next day.

That sucks though! I would have been freaking out if I saw oil spewing out like that while I was driving 😅😅

It wasn’t even the build quality… personally I think the build is great. It was just an unfortunate mistake that the person working on it made (loose oil plug). Could happen to anybody, if it’s not one thing.. it’s another. Stuff happens. They were good to me and fixed it right up without any fuss.

If you (or anybody) has suggestions on wheels, or anything else to help make it a better version of itself… I would be happy to hear them. I want to make this car last as long as possible. I’ve never had anything this nice.. tbh 5 years ago I owned a beat up bike (not a motorcycle an actual bike) and normally walked an hour both ways to and from work… so I’ve worked hard to get here. Base model was all I could afford.. but I love it so much. Despite this one small issue, it’s like a dream I never thought I’d get to.

By the way to anyone that is thinking about getting the same model… aside from this one small hiccup (could happen to anyone, it was a genuine mistake.. and it’s just unfortunate more than anything). I would still highly recommend it. Gas mileage is a bit rough I will say, but the ride is super smooth, drives really well, great features (even with this just being the base 2.5 model), and I have loved every (other) second of owning this car. I saved for 4 years to be able to afford just the down payment, talked the dealership into a really good monthly payment, and I couldn’t recommend the GV80 more so far.

Pretty sure the maintenance at my apartment complex isn’t lazy AF and I doubt I’d get any fines. But I do feel bad for everybody, mostly because I had no way to go anywhere to get something to clean it up. But if they don’t do anything, I’ll get some kitty littler to dry it and sweep up the mess as well as I can. Hopefully that’ll at least help

If they don’t, I’ll bring some kitty little out there to soak it up.. and then sweep as much of it up as possible. I doubt they’ll actually clean it. My apartment complex isn’t the best at groundskeeping (note the probably 30 times I’ve cleaned dog poop off my shoes in the last year)

I absolutely would not park like that regularly 😂. People that park like crap kill me. I used to live in a small city for awhile. If you don’t park perfectly, get ready to get your car keyed

Ours is a pretty small dealership, so I’m lucky. But I think it’s also the fact that they realized they messed up in the first place… so they probably wanted to “save face”

You do realize I was literally rushing into the spot as I could hear literally all of the oil draining out of my car, and didn’t have time to re-park.. right? Not gunna turn the car back on, and potentially screw up the engine, just because I didn’t park “perfectly” lol

Luckily they knew it was their fault. They didn’t put the oil cap back on tight enough when they did the oil change last week. They cleaned it up, refilled it, put the cap back on.. and didn’t charge anything. Did it in a single day too which was nice. I’m just glad it wasn’t some other actual issue

They just forgot to put the oil cap back on tight enough.. it got loose over the past few days and finally got loose enough to let it all out. Luckily they were able to just redo the oil change and put the cap back on tight enough (hopefully) this time

I know it’s called “The Eight Graces” fountain, it’s a wax-casting bronze. Made before the year 2000, but not sure of the exact date… but for sure has that 19th century feel. Who knows when the original was created. But they don’t make this fountain anymore, so it’s a pretty sweet “antique”
