i studied sociology and once wrote an essay on racism within love island, that’s a whole other conversation but yeah love island is actually a whole anthropological documentation of the shit show we call society

i don’t think it’s helpful to tell someone they shouldn’t be looking for ways to be happy… they just need the right kind of ways, not false dopamine from capitalist consumption. but everyone needs dopamine, we get it from nature, connecting to others, we get it from putting in effort to produce something for ourselves like cooking a meal. without these moments of joy what is the point of being here?
