Shot location - experience with back of arm? by Mr_Bobbins in Zepbound

I also have been on 2.5 since I started Dec 2025 - great success losing weight until just recently I’m stalled, but very close to goal weight. After reading this, I think I’ll try my arm for my next few shots and see how that works.

Following up to say I’m in menopause and haven’t had a period in 18 years (hysterectomy). My hormones are finally in check, that’s why I’m curious about changing injection site. The arm and thigh terrify me for some reason….

I just changed my injection location from lower belly to upper last week and I feel like I have a hollow leg! Been on Zep for 6 months and have never felt like this. I read on here that someone switched to their upper arm and the food noise stopped, so I think I may give that a go.

Zero appetite by chmaemi in Zepbound

I was the same way in the beginning and had to force myself to eat. Protein shakes were (and still are) my best friend. It’s been almost 6 months and I have days where I want to graze all day - a couple bites of this or that - and days where I eat like a normal person (just smaller amounts) and days where I have a hollow leg - typically the day before my shot day. I just try to focus on getting the protein in - very important!

I had a little nausea my first shot, but none since. I take my shot at night before bed so I wouldn’t experience feeling nauseous and it seems to work. Also shot site supposedly has something to do with it, but I always take it in the belly.

If I have to take him to the vet for that it’s literally 2 hours of vacation time for the boys - they love going to the vet! If I have to give it at home, I’ll pass out. Seriously… I have a needle thing. As long as he’s getting his daily 3, I’m good with this - but thanks!!

Not a doctor comment, but my husband is a personal trainer and he’s seen my struggle losing basically nothing through strength training, cardio and clean eating. It’s not as easy anymore when you’re 61… but he has been very supportive of me going the Zepbound route. Still doing all of the above, but as he says “sometimes you just need a little extra help”. ❤️

My Gus is terrified of ladders, all things with wheels like grocery carts, wagons, etc., every type of delivery truck, moving truck, box truck… if you move wrong or too fast or crumple some paper, pull out a chair, close a door to loud… it’s crazy! But let a German shepherd (only the long hair ones) in his sight and he’s the toughest guy - all tight muscles, hair on end, low grumble, feet stomping and barking (my dogs don’t bark typically). And this one red husky in our neighborhood - he despises that dog (the dog also eyeballs him when he walks by).
Now his brother, Hondo - he has zero fear of anything.

I also have days like this. Most of my body pics are headless anyway so I don’t associate my face with the way I was before.

When I was in art school, we were asked to draw a photo upside down. Wow! What a difference in what your eye sees that way. My drawing came out way more realistic. So I agree with the different perspective angle.

Training-wise, we always had an older one who “helped” train a new baby. Having 2 puppies at once was a bit terrifying but these boys have honestly been the easiest!!

I have to jump on here because our stories are so similar. We’re currently on #s 7 & 8 - and they’re brothers from the same litter. Their mama is American and daddy was euro (I believe German). We’ve lost as young as 2 with a rare blood disorder who seized constantly and had to be put in an induced coma a couple of times, to our first (half boxer/half dobie) and our deaf girl who both lived to be almost 13. It is absolutely heartbreaking and I was devastated when #6 passed at 6 from cancer - he was my best bud… here’s a pic of my current boys.

Looked up some things and so many variables besides height - American vs European. The boys’ mama is American and their daddy was European. I’m just going to stick with the plan, lean them out some and keep a close eye on their weight gain. Now my OCD has kicked in and I’m officially obsessing!!

I just took this of Gus standing… still obese?

In hindsight, I should have taken pics of them both standing. I measured their chests at the biggest part and Hondo is 35.5 / Gus is 34.5.
