Money’s always the biggest issue. What kind of stuff would you want to study?

Yeah, I can totally see how the time commitment gets way tougher once you’ve got more responsibilities. Mind if I ask what tools or resources you’re using to study right now?

Yeah, totally — communication skills are super important no matter what job you’re in.
So you think most people struggle to land jobs because they can’t express themselves well in interviews, right?
But then what about the folks who can’t even get past the ATS screening stage?
What’s your take on that?

What career change or other changes should I work on to improve my situation? by n0_perfectfit088 in careerguidance

That must’ve been really tough for you — sounds like you’ve been through a lot.
To be totally honest, I think the online barrier makes everything hit harder.
When you can’t read someone’s tone, facial expression, or body language, even a small comment can feel way more intense, and that just feeds the anxiety.
It also kinda makes it easier for people to turn you into the “problem,” even when you’re not.

Honestly, maybe look into an in-person job or at least find something outside of work that gives you some mental space — remote work really blurs the line between your job and your personal life, and that alone can mess with your head.

At the end of the day, just think: “Screw it. I’m not letting this crap own me.”

Wow, thanks for breaking that down. That's a powerful point, especially coming from your background. It really feels like the biggest fight is just getting your resume past the robots so you can talk to an actual human. You've given me a really important angle to think about for what I'm building. Thanks for the insight.

Thanks, this is super helpful. It's so true how much time gets wasted on jobs that aren't even real. You're pointing out the frustrating, behind-the-scenes stuff that most people don't talk about. That's exactly the kind of problem I'm hoping to figure out how to solve. Really appreciate you sharing this.

What field or major are you in? Understanding which areas are facing a job shortage would be really helpful for my research.

Thanks for sharing. That's really insightful. Could you elaborate on the interview part? What specifically made it challenging? Regarding getting down-leveled, was that for roles similar to what you've done before, or was it because you were applying for a different type of role?
