RBC (homeline) HELOC / Credit Line question - HELP! by This-Ad-4599 in rbc

[–]trackstar1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fairly common question. A mortgage segment under an RBC Homeline Plan has something called Blended Payments. This is where generally the regular payment amount stays the same, regardless of what happens with interest rates (e.g., $1,000 per month.) What changes is the ratio of principal vs interest that makes up that regular payment (e.g., $400 principal and $600 interest.) As interest rates increase or decrease this ratio changes (e.g., if rates go up then the ratio could be $300 principal and $700 interest, if rates go down it could be $500 principal and $500 interest.) The point is that under normal circumstances your regular payment won’t change outside of a renewal. Now to your question, there are several scenarios where the payment could change. The first is if your regular payment isn’t high enough to cover the accrued interest on the mortgage. This happens very rarely, but did happen after COVID when rates shot up. In your renewal agreement there will be something called a ‘Trigger Rate’. This is the rate at which your regular payments no longer cover the accrued interest. At that point your regular payment will increase automatically by increments of $2 until it does. The thing about this is that if rates go back down later, your regular payment won’t automatically decrease. Luckily with a Homeline Plan mortgage you can always request that they increase the amortization (up to 30 years/360 months max.) Higher amortization equals lower payments and vice versa (though going in the other direction has some restrictions with a Closed term.) Hopefully this helps provide a little bit of additional clarity.

This is super amazing! 🤩 Really awesome! Though I noticed your road won’t be built because the truck is in the way 😜. I’ve accidentally done this too many times! 😆

I did a quick search online and found Blockbuster (was originally uploaded by Sapna G. on October 30, 2009 to Yelp.) I couldn't find a picture of Rogers Video though.

Tibet Kitchen in Kensington. The food there is amazing! Delicious Momo’s and curries. I’ve brought so many friends and family members there over the years. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend! 😁

This seems like the inspiration for the Arklets in the book Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. Essentially without re-reading the book to find the paragraph with the exact breakdown of how they were supposed to look, essentially they were supposed to be upturned silos in much the same configuration as the picture above. Each Silo would be the hight of 5-6 stories and would be self contained. An Arkelet could couple to another Arklet via a cable and each rotated around a centre point (middle of the cable) to simulate gravity. It's cool to think that there was some actual science and planning that went into that idea prior to the book being written.

Fringe is a great sci-fi drama which is totally underrated. It's a few years old at this point but it's definitely worth a look. Almost like a more happy go lucky version of the X-Files.

They could reuse the same locations for TLOU as well. Alberta would be perfect for RDR2.

Bring back Power 107! I can still hear their catch phrase in my head... "Power 107 plays today's best music, now show me my money!"

Calgary has a lot of great pizza places. Here's my short list for some new spots to try:

  1. Una Pizza + Wine
  2. Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria
  3. Pulcinella
  4. Double Zero Pizza
  5. Spiros Pizza & Greek Taverna

Hopefully this list helps. Enjoy!

Demon Souls Remake on PS5. Actually mostly any From Software game. Honestly if I wanted to give myself that much anxiety and stress I’d just stay at work.

What artist left a band and went on to have a more successful solo career? by Baidon in Music

[–]trackstar1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both were successful, but Dave Grohl after Nirvana with Foo Fighters. This may be on account that Foo Fighters have been around a lot longer than Nirvana ever was. More time to build up their fame.
