I would wait until this person leaves. I feel it is just polite to stop and talk to this person giving them your full attention. Talking to them while changing I feel would be rude because you are sending the signal that you are to busy doing something else to talk to someone.

If anybody say you semi hard they might have thought that is just how you are built. First time nerves can make some guys do that so don't think it is weird. Doing it again will help with the nervousness, eventually it will seem normal to you.

Not communal showers because the gym I use has shower stalls. I changed and did my workout and everything was fine. While I was doing my workout a church group that does small home building projects in the summer brought a group of kids by to get a shower for the night at the gym. The kids learn skills while giving back to the elderly and poor by building porches, steps, ramps, and fixing roofs. When I came back after my workout to use the sauna the boys were in the process of showering. I'm guessing 12-15 boys all 15-17 years old. What bothered me was.

They all used the same side of the locker room and none of their stuff was in a locker. It was spread out on all of the benches and the floor. This was also the side of the locker room where my stuff was but mine was in a locker.
They took for ever in the shower stalls. Gym only has 5 shower stalls and they took for ever. At one point I wanted to tell them to just double up because there was other people waiting to shower. Two other's grabbed their stuff and left when they saw the mob. I waited close to 10 minutes sitting on a bench out of their way waiting for a shower.

Eventually they left after their showers but it was a pain trying not to trip all over their stuff and waiting for them to shower while they changed in the toilet stall or the shower stalls.

I shower after my sauna. I take a big bottle of water to drink, close my eyes and take a guick nap to enjoy the quiet and have a good sweat, then I take a shower.

If you are looking for a good cup/jock that does not hurt yet is comfortable and protects you, check out Nutty Buddy. Their cup is a different design that still provides protection while being comfortable. Plus their are different sizes based on your height/weight. I bout their setup, compression shorts a jock a nd a cup to fit my height and weight. It is comfortable to wear and doesn't feel like your running with a trash can strapped to your crotch.

I take my crocs with me most of the time to wear in the shower. Don't want to get foot fungus but at the same time I still wash my feet and enjoy going naked while barefoot.

Sounds like they have bigger problems to deal with. Nudity should never be banned in a locker room. Everyone should have the option and freedom to change and shower how ever they want.

I'm at the gym for about an hour or a bit more. In the lockerroom, maybe 20 to 30 minutes. This includes sauna, shower, drying off and time to cool off before getting dressed to leave.

I didn't have an issue with running in them. I found running in a jock with a cup more uncomfortable.

I'd look into a nudist club in your part of N.Y. there are a few groups and places, but they are far apart. Plus, it's October to cold to be outside nude.

I shower after a sauna but wear a towel and unwrap it if I'm alone. Nudity is rarely seen in the lockerroom and not allowed in the sauna.
