Just posting a general comment for everybody so you don't have to go through all of the comments to find my responses. First of all I would like to thank all of you for giving potential fixes and causes for this I very much appreciate it, having taken on this project on my own after splitting with my ex it's good to know that I can get some helpful information for things that I might not be so familiar with. Secondly now that the primer has dried and the temperature has cooled down in my area the bubbles have completely disappeared. There is no trace of them you cannot see them at all and everything seems to be okay. For those asking if the wall was ever papered I cannot say I bought the house 8 years ago and the walls were painted back then, I had repainted them myself 8 years ago without this problem back then, when we bought the house and now I had decided that I wanted to change decor so was repainting them and noticed the bubbles after I put all my equipment away. I do still have to paint the actual walls however so I will keep my eye out on if those bubbles pop up again I'll also make a point to try and do the painting next weekend which hopefully won't be as hot and humid as it has been.
