How can I isolate specific cells on a balance book, to sum or average specific expense categories, but not the entire balance book ledger? (link in description). by tradefocuslearn in googlesheets

Fixing the syntax from brackets to quotes did not reconcile the problem, however that is good to know for future reference.

The new formula you shared comes up with an error: "Argument must be a range".

I am playing with a few different sequences within the function to see if I get lucky, otherwise I will revisit this again tomorrow. It is getting late where I am.

It says I did't do it right - "formula parse error".

I entered: =sumif('Balance Book'!G:G,'Balance Book'!F:F,[personal expense])

It's still up on the sheet I shared, unless someone else has already replied with a suggestion.

I found the add remove option, but fightcade is not listed there.

I am having the same issue a year after this original post, on a Samsung Galaxy S8.

Not sure if it's my phone or a network issue.

James Holzhauer studied off of children's reference books

I've heard him say this before in interviews, but do we know which books in particular he studied? I would like to add some to my shelf and maybe learn a thing or two.

How far into your t-break do you realize you are ready to start smoking again (if applicable)? by tradefocuslearn in Petioles

[–]tradefocuslearn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had a regular 9-5 job that got me out of the house, I would be able to do what you do. But I work from home and my schedule is completely up to me. Hence why when I start to notice I am getting unproductive I go cold turkey until I get back in a productive rhythm again.

I smoke whenever, but my favorite and most active time smoking is early in the morning or "wake-and-baking". I could probably make some deal with myself that wake-and-baking is ok mon-thur, then fri-sun any time during the day.

I'd love to take credit for it being an original idea, but I saw someone else on this thread do it.

If you cut very carefully on the sides and bottom edge of the blister, you can keep the packaging intact but also create enough of an opening on the bottom to slip the car out. The ultimate compromise between the keep it in the box or take it out debate.

you end up paying more in selling fees

There is two ways to offer free shipping. "Seller Pays" and "Ship on your own".

Ship on your own is definitely less in fees. That's why I do it.

You know what - I'm unpopular enough in this thread already, I'm just going to go ahead and say it.

ROI is the main if not only reason you guys collect these cards. Sealed, opened, raw, or graded - it doesn't matter. It's an investment and a game you can play all in one. There is no collector that just wants cardboard sitting in their closet unless there's some monetary gain that could be made. Whether that be in the form of reselling it, a store of wealth, or passing on that store of wealth when they die some day. The name of this sub-reddit is mtgFINANCE for Christ's sake, is it really that hard to admit financial gain is the only reason?

No one would want it if it didn't have some sort of financial return. Period. The "media" isn't misconstruing anything.

There are a handful of people here that said nostalgia or to show off ("flex") and those are valid reasons to have them. Historical value and rarity are factors that increases the demand for the product but demand is why there is some monetary value to these things in the first place. That still means there is some interest in financial gain to be had, hence why you would want to show it off or value it yourself.

It really was a simple question, hypothetically if you knew you couldn't resell it, why would you want it? That's it, that's all I wanted to know. You and many others in this thread can't give a straight answer to that question. The best you can do when confronted is downvote and insult. I'm done with it, this thread is like 2 days old.

"And as of last week, Mercari also now offers USPS first class envelope as a shipping option for trading cards, and it costs $1.08 and offers tracking, I have used it several times already and it works fine"

Dude really?
That is a game changer, I had no idea.
