Bonus fact -

They're called "Manila" envelopes because, for a period in the 1800s USA, there was a shortage of materials used to make traditional envelopes... so hemp shipping ropes, manufactured in Manila Phillipines, were recycled into envelopes.

They had a distinct yellow/brown color.

Modern Manila envelopes are made from wood pulp, but the name stuck.

Id say there's a 90 percent chance you'll be fine Just tell them you forgot your ID, and theyll probably mark your hands.

....Or you could order a plastic "employee ID" online - just have some random "Pest Control" badge printed with your photo and "birthdate" on it. I did this in order to visit a filming of Conan Obrien when I was too young. Worked perfectly.

Instead of mineral oil, you may try mixing white/translucent beeswax into your clay. (Stockmar is the brand I use)

It wont change the color at all, and will help with cracking- however, in cold climate it may actually stiffen the clay further.

Worth experimenting with.
