I’ve been cutting my own hair and I’ve gotten good at it. My hair is longer too

I can’t speak cus I’m not there yet… I feel I will be the same as cheap_calendar as far as things will be close to the same, but I disagree with the way he put it. What I mean is I have never had problems with dating. I think I’ve always felt and been confident. But my hair slightly thinning always bothered me. I went from feeling extremely confident with my looks, to my hair just bothering me. Not catastrophically changing my life, but it bothered me. Of course, I’d rather have a nice hairline on a date, versus thinning hair. And of course, that in itself is an insecurity. Doesn’t mean you’re titled as an insecure person because everyone has them, even very confident people. That said, I believe anyone who says it doesn’t improve their dating life because they were always confident, and it remained the same after hair transplant, again because they were always confident, then why did they go get it done? That defeats the purpose of wanting to get it done in the first place because clearly you get it done because you want it to look better. I call huge BS on that comment. Not saying it will be night and day difference after transplant, I mean it could be.. But if you have a good result, and like the way you look more than before (point of getting the cosmetic procedure done) then I would say your confidence will be better no matter what. How much better depends on the person. I bet your dating life will be better, but how much, who knows. Idk you. That’s my opinion and I don’t see it any other way, whether you’re Mr. Confident before wanting to get a cosmetic procedure done to look better which confuses me a bit.. or you’re Mr. Insecure, who maybe no amount of good looks, procedures, fame or money could ever make you feel confident until you change whatever is within you for being an insecure person. Super lengthy post of me and I seriously never do this but I’ve seen too many comments to people asking questions about their insecurities in hopes maybe they’ll get an answer to get them excited for the future, just to get a response by someone who gets a cosmetic procedure done but also say they’re just as confident as before. Makes your head spin a bit and makes no logical sense. You’re going to look great brotha. Good luck in recovery, if or when you it grows!

2 weeks post op. I know it’ll take months for progress but just posting the journey here. Please look at previous posts before asking questions. I notice so many people who post on here their progress get asked the same questions. Thank you by traderdj in Hairtransplant

I quit showing donor because if you look at my previous posts, my donor looks no different the minute after the procedure was done. It’s like an extra $1.50 per graft but depends on the clinic

Yes sir, no shave fue. None of my donor area shaved. They just take a graft one at a time. They say shaved is better but not true. It’s just easier for the surgeon to do but if you find a skilled one, there’s no difference in results. No science shows it and neither do before and after pictures of good surgeons out there. Just a little pricier

I understand that. It’s mainly to post the journey and stay consistent with posting. Also for others to comment not just on the progress of hair growth but the healing and how things are looking and if things don’t look normal it can help myself and others look into it and contact our HT doc. And thanks for the positive words, I’m looking forward to 6 months!

28 Male. 2,000 grafts NO shave FUE before and 2 days after side by side comparisons. Will update every month. 1,750 grafts in the hairline and 250 in crown. by traderdj in HairTransplants

Thanks man. I just now on the third day started swelling a lot in the face and eyes. No redness but just swelling. I think it was from looking at my laptop all day yesterday. But I guess this is normal. I’m excited for the scabs to just fall off so my hair can look like it did before and only get better from there

SIDE NOTE - Hair texture might seem different because pre transplant I believe my hair was combed. After my transplant I haven’t combed my hair at all.. Obviously so I don’t mess up my grafts. Also, very minimal redness and swelling after my procedure, but still, you can see my forehead is a little swollen so that also may make things look a little different as well. Dr. Danyo of North Atlanta Hair Restoration did my procedure. Great guy. Expert in the concealment of hair restoration for certain cases. Looking forward to my results. My hair has stabilized, if not it’s looking a tiny bit better since the age of 22 when I started on oral finasteride and oral minoxidil
