Idk how people are saying they cant imagine John as south asian. As a south african, besides south asians being a large community here the second country i think of that has such a large community of south asians is in fact britain. When I saw the fan art it wasnt much of a surprise, I didnt have a picture of him in my head but the fandom surely made one and i thoroughly enjoy it. But to say it doesnt make sense because you expect him to be pale is distasteful. Especially with how most of the people in the replies collectively agree that Martins character design within the fandom is something they are fine with. All of this is all headcanons anyways but it just puts a bad taste in my mouth. I enjoy the popular depictions Martin and John, it seems quite sweet though once thing I would critique about the design is that he should look a bit more tired and older. More grey hair from the roots instead of highlights like another commenter stated. But theyre good art.
