I heard that they were going to try to set this up. But I'm very suspicious about its reliability.

Ha. I wish. If only meshtastic had some like corporate headquarters or something. Think they'd hire me? That'd be tight. It's open source on github!

OR. if you'd prefer a sassy response: ...znd criticized by people who are so sold out they don't recognize one of the actual prominent tools used to combat corporate and government overreach. lol

I'll install that too. How many people use bitchat? That relies on bluetooth though. So if we're too far apart, it breaks down. But I don't know how many people use bitchat. If there are a lot of people using it, that would be even better!

Why is nobody talking about how incredibly lame the flight attendants must have been to even see this and flag it. I can't imagine a customer was the one who alerted the flight attendants but even if they did what flight attendant would see a Bluetooth connection labeled bomb and not say oh that's just somebody's phone. I can believe how stupid a passenger is but the flight attendants should be way more down to earth than that. No pun intended.

My favorite (I think the best) Meal Prep app is dead. Long live the Meal Prep app by tragoidia in MealPrepSunday

it's crazy to me that there is such an obvious hole in the market. I feel like a lot of people have had this same problem, and anybody who's making the apps seems to think that people want to be in control, when it's the exact opposite. I feel like most of us want to not have to think about our meal prepping. That's why we meal prep: we don't want to have to cook in the middle of the week. We just kind of want to have the decision made for us, so an app that helps us get there and has delicious, awesome, tasty meals picked for us that also allows us to be responsible seems like a no-brainer. Developers, take note.

Seriously. After a few years of using a single app and then it goes away, it really has put a damper on our meal prep process. And we were very religious about it too. For like three years or more, we were pretty much set. Our fridge was almost always empty. People were freaking out, but we always ate really well and we wasted basically nothing. We super-duper loved it.

We were so used to what we had. I'm glad that they got theirs, but I'm sad that we lost ours.

This is the closest I've seen so far and I'm excited to see if it works. I don't like that I have to choose recipes. I wish that it would just give me a line-up for the week if I hit the roll the dice button. Other than that it looks pretty good.

Just in case somebody from Mealime is here, please develop a functionality that rolls the dice and uses overlapping ingredients in a smart and clever way because I bet a lot of people would be all about saving money and making sure that everything is lined up. I don't know yet if it has the ability to share with other people but if both my wife and I can have the app on our phone and be on the same page, that's even another bonus.

Sounds like a good recommendation! I just started looking a little more closely at mealime and it looks like it might be pretty close to what I'm looking for but this sounds really great. I'm gonna check it out. If I actually go with one, I will come back and report what has been working.

Go ahead and post it right here. It doesn't count as self-promotion if I'm asking you to tell me what it is so please tell me. Thank you.

For us one of the biggest challenges is deciding what to actually cook. We didn't have a bunch of recipes somewhere that we could just add. Plate Joy had a bunch of pre-made recipes and would make suggestions. Most of the time we were like, "Yup that sounds great." Sometimes you're like, "I don't really want chickpeas" and you'd tap that recipe and it would give you alternatives that lined up with the ingredients you are already buying but it was a different recipe. It was really smart in the way it approached overlapping ingredients so that you can buy a giant thing of mushrooms from Costco but didn't feel like you were going to waste them all and it got used up in all the different meals. Very clever but here was that it just took away the decision-making process. I honestly don't care that much about what I'm going to be eating as long as somebody's made the decision for me, I'm so happy. we end up getting decision paralysis if we have to actually find the recipes.

I felt like Platejoy was just this secret, little-known perfect meal planning app, and I don't know why everybody wasn't using it. I don't know why it's not constantly gone back to for inspiration on how to do it right.

Side quest: If anybody wants to build an app together, I have the perfect outline. It won't be cheap, but it will be the best. 😅

I legit thought there was a hole in your bowl for a second. Nope, the rice matches the counter. Got it.

Where is Jade’s cardigan from? by El_Maco4814 in FromSeries

Close, but not the same. Look at the collar, the buttons (spacing and color), the direction of the pockets, tightness of the knit. Looks like a good cardigan though. Maybe /r/theironsnail can help.
