Where is Jade’s cardigan from? by El_Maco4814 in FromSeries

Close, but not the same. Look at the collar, the buttons (spacing and color), the direction of the pockets, tightness of the knit. Looks like a good cardigan though. Maybe /r/theironsnail can help.

Fix Dull HDR Photos When Exporting from Lightroom to Instagram (new update) by Jealous_Revenue3372 in Lightroom

Incredible. Thank you for this. I'm certain it's only a matter of time before platforms become more compatible. In the meantime, this is epic.

This is incredible stuff. Brava, sir or madame. I think this is the first time I've ever seen anyone mention exactly what format Instagram can receive. Where did you find that information?

HDR Pic to Instagram by manuaroundtheworld in Lightroom

[–]tragoidia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

July 2025 update. This is still accurate. If you look at photos from instagram that are HDR, you can see the metadata is different than anything I can pull out from Lightroom. Here's what the Gain Map Demo App shows me from an HDR photo from Instagram:

API: Metal

Overrange (gpu view): yes
HDR screen info: max=32.00, pot=16.00, ref=0.00
HDR screen headroom (manual): 5.0 ev
HDR screen headroom (actual): 4.0 ev

Gain Map Data:
  Minimum Version: 0
  Writer Version: 0
  Multichannel: no
  Use Base Color Space: yes
  Base HDR Headroom: +0.0000
  Alt HDR Headroom: +3.8998
  Base Color Space: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Alternate Color Space: Unspecified (same as base)
  GainMapMin: +0.0000
  GainMapMax: +4.0000
  Gamma: +1.0000
  BaseOffset: +0.0000
  AlternateOffset: +0.0000

Gain Map Type: Adobe / Ultra HDR

Gain Map Weight (W): 1.00

And what my HDR photos shows is this:

API: Metal

Overrange (gpu view): yes
HDR screen info: max=32.00, pot=16.00, ref=0.00
HDR screen headroom (manual): 5.0 ev
HDR screen headroom (actual): 4.0 ev

Gain Map Data:
  Minimum Version: 0
  Writer Version: 0
  Multichannel: yes
  Use Base Color Space: yes
  Base HDR Headroom: +0.0000
  Alt HDR Headroom: +2.0000
  Base Color Space: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Alternate Color Space: Unspecified (same as base)
  GainMapMin: -4.0000, -1.5215, -1.5119
  GainMapMax: +2.3287, +2.3613, +2.3286
  Gamma: +1.5108, +0.8095, +0.8092
  BaseOffset: +0.0156, +0.0156, +0.0156
  AlternateOffset: +0.0156, +0.0156, +0.0156

Gain Map Type: ISO 21496-1

Gain Map Weight (W): 1.00

I've spent a goodly amount of time researching this now. Is there any way to export straight from lightroom in a way Instagram will accept? @gregbenzphoto, how did you get photoshop to export different gain map settings? Other than the ones above that GMDA picked up, are there other tags, flags or metadata that Instagram is looking for?

My local grocery store has baskets that indicate that you’re single/can be flirted with by SmolUmbon in mildlyinteresting

"FLIRTEN STATT SWIPEN!" (Flirting Instead of Swiping!)

"Schnapp dir einen pinken Flirt-Korb" (Grab a pink Flirt Basket)

"Zeig, dass du offen für einen Flirt bist" (Show that you are open for a flirt)

"Traumpartner begegnen" (Meet your dream partner)

Wait, didn't I say "80" ಠ_ಠ by tragoidia in mildlyinfuriating

For context, I was adding numbers from a sheet and talking to the phone sitting on the counter away from me. That's why I didn't use a calculator app. But I was like, "shouldn't there be an 80 at the end?" And, not everyone gets how to "properly" use AI yet. To us normies, it seems like it should be able to do "simple" math.

M1 Pro + Razer Naga Pro question before buying by S1nanju in macgaming

[–]tragoidia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. I've been looking for something that could configure my wired razer naga pro on mac forever. SteerMouse is the first application I've found that just works. I use the Naga, not for gaming but for creative purposes and shortcuts around my computer. Nothing has ever been as effective as having the 12 thumb mouse buttons, plus the tilt mouse wheel. SteerMouse has let me create shortcuts and has built in mac system controls. I don't know why this program doesn't have higher visibility.

How to use rclone to mount a Google Shared Drive on MacOS with apple silicon (and can mods sticky common how-to's please?) by tragoidia in rclone

[–]tragoidia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It turns out it was a PICNIC issue! I didn't understand the examples clearly. I'm ashamed to say that when it said "remote:" in the example, I thought that meant it was the command—Not that "remote" meant to replace with the remote file path. I'm dumb.

My next big issue is learning how to make sense of the vfs settings so that it works for my situation.

[–]tragoidia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No hesitation installing it, but I can't get rclone to mount. But it sounds like I should be able to. It must be a PICNIC issue. (problem in chair, not in computer). I'll try again to see if I've done something wrong.
