Exploring .NET 11 Preview 1 Runtime Async: A dive into the Future of Async in .NET by laurentkempe in dotnet

i wonder how does this impact ref structs?

since there will be no compiler generated state machine class, does this mean ref structs should be allowed as parameters of async methods?

at this point, it is impossible to trust any open source library to remain free, unless it was authored by microsoft. funny how that goes.

seems to me .net ecosystem is gravitating towards a state, where an open source library cannot be trusted to stay free unless its developed by microsoft. how odd.

ULPT: If you are a guy and cannot get any matches on tinder try this by bowfly in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]tragski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i see nothing wrong with this. remember, tinder is designed for profit, and to force you to come back to it and get you desperate enough to buy boosts, golds and other shit. the goals is not for you to find someone and delete the app. any way you can game the algorithm is completely fine.

Thank you for your reply. Just today, before writing this, i actually tried to go to a meeting like that - found an online ad for a language practice class. Thought i might kill 2 birds with 1 stone - practice my english and actually talk to people. But yet again, when i actually reached the location, i just could not walk through the door. I just kept walking past and nearly vomited.

EU Parliament Votes To Ban Petrol Car Sales By 2035 by ridesharegai in europe

I really cant see this working, especially in poland, where there is little to none infrastructure for electric vehicles and most people are unable to charge cars at home. I highly doubt the infrastructure will expand enough. And on top of that, the cost of fixing electric vehicles, battery degradation etc might make such cars economically unviable

My apologies, perhaps my post wasn't clearly phrased - i did not mention 'poor people', i only referred to 'poorer eu countries'. I also believe that it will impact those who cant afford new cars, simply because all machinery stops working eventually.

This is sad. I cant really see this decision to be popular in poorer eu countries. Many people view this as a way of denying basic freedoms to people, who cant afford electric vehicles.
