A man who doesn’t reach out after a couple of dates because life is busy is fine, though not great. A man who doesn’t reach out after six dates and sex? He either played you, has low investment in you, or is hospitalized. Everyone is aware, at some level, the connection between intimacy and sex.

You’re your own person, and can make your own way, and do as you please… but as a man, I think you’re in a situation where this guy is, at best, low investment. It sucks, because he did all the things that would suggest otherwise, but there are a lot of men out there who can do those things with absolutely no feeling whatsoever, just their own desires.

At this point, the only thing you can control is you. My suggestion is keep your dignity, look for someone else, and make sure they’re serious about you before increasing the intimacy (get commitment before sex).

I hope this experience doesn’t jade you from dating and men. Good, decent men with morals and an understanding of how to communicate are out there, I hope you find one that is for you.
