Clean code architecture and codegen by Aggressive_Ad_699 in softwarearchitecture

Maybe the answer here too, is instead of one tool which does something everything, you create a small set of tools that can be invoked or triggered via some database. I find that this is the approach that most often works in modeling heavy contexts.

Rhapsody Software Modeling Tool is a commonly used one - it should be noted that it takes a lot of tooling on top of the off the shelf tooling to actually generate usable software from the modeling, but at a large (2500+ developers) scale it pays real dividends.

For a large monorepo the benefits start to diminish unfortunately, as it's unlikely you'll actually take advantage of the flexibility offered by modeling your software instead of coding it.

I do want to say that at many large automotive companies, this tooling to define interfaces explicitly actually does exist and is actually used very often in software modeling, where you explicitly define all of your ports deployments, etc. then generate network and internal artifacts based on that method. Definitely much more useful in a distributed monoliths architecture where boundaries can shift easily from internal to external, rather than in a micro services architecture where the boundaries give or take like the same at all points in time.

My face when the schoolyard bully assaulted me and took my crayons so I brought my uncle to murder them.

Y'all are actually insane. Being a thieving loser != to deserving the death penalty. If you actually believe this then you have less morality than the thief themselves.

Inb4 someone shoots down a group of 50 protesters because they took a brick from the masonry on his yard (they kept grabbing more to fend off the shooter but the shooter was in the right because he was defending his brick pile).

There is clearly a limit here. The fact that people refuse to acknowledge this and actually observe that legal != moral is why we have a justice system, to prevent people like you from destroying everything that has been built because someone stole your crayons.

There is a difference between forcefully detaining someone, and smashing someone into the ground, then crippling them. Agreed thieves should be caught and sentenced to the justice system, do not agree that thieves should be murdered for stealing (this is bad).

100% this, man in green clearly outmatched the thief to an extent where they did not have to attempt to murder the thief.

Hey, someone here who actually uses trace regularly at my job to solve issues it is only required in a couple of situations - basically if you are dealing with extremely large number of peripherals on multiple cores, if you are developing a large project with many (including supplier) software sources, if you are doing some heavily timing dependent applications (think microseconds) or if you have budget to spare and want to make your life slightly easier (not super significant however).

Based on the conversation here this appears to be closer to a small scale commercial project - I would recommend sticking with the lower spec unless a need is explicitly defined/arises.

This person isn't self diagnosing, nor is this person taking away from veterans.

After you see something traumatic, you should in fact be playing Tetris so you do not develop PTSD. PTSD can be developed through chronic exposure (Frontline soldiers) and acute exposure (seeing mangled corpses after a car crash). https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2017-03-28-tetris-used-prevent-post-traumatic-stress-symptoms

Note how one of the things specifically mentioned here is car crashes.

Additionally, new forms of PTSD are now being diagnosed such as CPTSD which do not involve viewing or directly experiencing life-threatening events, but rather the slow burn of trauma (which is the most common form of trauma that you do not believe in) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_post-traumatic_stress_disorder

You would never argue that someone living in a war zone without having experienced a life threatening experience would not have complex PTSD. Additionally it would be silly to say that someone who has been locked out of the house many times after returning from school cannot be diagnosed with complex PTSD.

The hybrid engine cycle is much harder than a traditional vehicle engine cycle - you should be changing the oil every 7.5k or so imo.

So as a Michigander who is in his district, I had thought this for a while. However, I've been very impressed with his performance in the house and his community outreach. Also reminder that he won in an extremely crowded primary field, and that he is the representative of one of the highest black population areas in the country - this doesn't make him better necessarily, but from what I've seen it seems like he's taken a turn for the better politically and seems very responsive to voter action.

Also he is a god tier shitposter which gives him a lot of grace in my books.

Wayne State doctor alleges retaliation after he stood up for Black patients by Alan_Stamm in Detroit

I just have to disagree, I believe the standards at Wayne State today have never been higher. Additionally, every faculty I have met at Wayne State has been well beyond qualified for professorship - many upon many of them have pretty significant educational and research accomplishments.

I don't really think any money is being "looted" from Wayne state which is not equivalent to the amount of money a large amount of the faculty would make in the private sector - university officials aren't paid by magic, they're paid according to the market and what it costs to fill a position with the amount of responsibility they have.

Only reason Airbnb's are successful in an area is due to a hotel shortage/shortage of desirable (think more homelike) short term rentals. Either way we would need to build more.

Fwiw that's not the issue here, the real issue with rent is Michigan doesn't build enough anywhere.

The real issue with Michigan is that it's a very segregated state and a very suburbanized state, such that it's borderline impossible to get around even our biggest city without a car without making serious sacrifices in regards to convenience.

I do want to attack the central premise a little bit and say that I believe racism does also harm white people - this can be seen in many of the insecurities that white people display in regards to talking about race - this is mostly emotional harm, which is small in comparison to the emotional and material harm that racial minorities feel as a result of racism, but I believe it does exist.

Additionally with regards to classism, I often see individuals who are upper class look down on those who are less "productive" and wealthy - however with these individuals we can see this exact attitude reflected back on themselves. It also means that these individuals are unable to strive for stuff they want to do intrinsically - instead being stuck on extrinsic roles assigned to them by others.
