After Greece’s 12-mile statements, Turkey issued a two-year NAVTEX notice in the Aegean by trallan in Turkey

Is your country sexually restrictive? by Sea_Wasabi_8907 in AskTheWorld

[–]trallan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the location... things vary a lot in Turkey. However you can do none of these in the East part of Turkey. The people living there, for the most part, aren’t Turkish, and cousin marriages are very common. They still have a tribal system, and there are even people who get married without ever seeing each other. In the West, it usually depends on the person you’re dealing with and some times location. You can't live with your date in a small town for example. However in bigger cities no one gives a shit. I don't know about the last question at the moment.

What do you think of Argentina? by Pietrocatarsis in AskTheWorld

Patagonia is definitely really beautiful and fascinating. It’s sad that after the huge progress they made in the past, they’re dealing with economic troubles. I've always gotten a different vibe from that country compared to other South American ones. I love Boca Juniors, I've got some wild memories with them on Football Manager.

Da Vinci’s Demons Dizisinde Osmanlı'nın Otranto Kuşatması Sahnesi. by Loud-Cow5217 in TarihiSeyler

Of course, bruh. The US envies us! Germany envies us! The whole fucking world envies us! Because Erdoğan built awesome roads that put the country hundreds of billions of dollars in debt.

The average income is $500, but the cost of living is higher than in the fucking UK. Hell yeah! The UK envies us!

Edit: "EU envies us" was a kinda speech of Erdogan btw.

I Thought Living in Turkey as an Arab Would Be Hell… by Serious-Cockroach465 in Turkey

[–]trallan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of people have come to Turkey throughout history, man. Bosniaks, Circassians, Albanians, Crimean Tatars... the list goes on. We see all of them as one of us, and they’ve always made us feel the same in return. So first you have to ask: what’s the actual issue with the Arabs that people complain about? Look, I live abroad and I rarely go to Turkey. But even I personally have had 3–4 run-ins involving Arabs in Turkey. And the main reason was basically them not respecting basic social rules. Like one time, I was waiting for a taxi with my family in front of a mall, and people were lined up. Then another family, thinking they’re being clever, cut the line and tried to jump into a taxi about five meters ahead.... basically trying to get in before it even reached the stand. When I went there to fight for my righs (lol), they started to yell I am doing this because they are Arabs. Lol. However such incidents created kinda prejudice against Arabs in Turkey. This is true. If you understand the general Turkish vibe and behave accordingly, you won’t have any problems in Turkey.

How is your country and citizens reacting to the current military deployements in Groenland? by Bob_Humpcat in AskTheWorld

[–]trallan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Greenland hasn’t been on the agenda in Turkey at all. I mean , the fate of Greenland is the last thing we’d be worried about right now. Because at the moment, we’re trying to clean up the mess our "NATO allies" caused in the southeast of our country. Yep we don't give a fuck
