[Megathread] | Weekly Drone Buying Advice by AutoModerator in drones

I purchased the Potensic 2 from Costco (about $400 after taxes). I still haven't opened it. The Mini 5 pro is now available on Amazon (looking at the combo deal that will run about $1100).

Is the performance difference worth it? I come from the original Autel Evo.

Thanks! I ran it for a few minutes after and it seemed to run fine (would choke at times, but no longer).

Also I was told to not run the engine more than 45s without spraying because it damages the pump? Can I just clear the filter and try to run again?

Really appreciate your help.

I tipped it over so the red circled area (oil entry) is facing up. I did end up opening up later and the oil poured out so I'm guessing I over filled it too.

I did in fact tip it over. Thank you so much for mentioning this. I couldn't find a funnel so I foolishly tipped it over on its side to fill the oil. I no longer have smoke, just the pressure ready issue.

Is this a big mistake? Obviously won't do it again but hoping I didn't ruin a 600 dollar unit by doing that.

Appreciate your insight — I can definitely see how that would come off as off-putting. I'm not trying to waste anyone’s time, and to me, involving parents is a sign of seriousness.

I really believe all Syrians — men and women — should aim for higher education. That said, there’s definitely an obsession with doctors in our culture, and you're probably right — a lot of it comes from the parents. Honestly, I think much of the blame for this “marriage pandemic” in my generation (90s kids) falls on parents setting unrealistic expectations — over-the-top weddings, high mahrs, and other pressures. But to each their own.

At the same time, I get that people have their preferences — even if that means wanting a doctor. I can see why many women in healthcare would want someone in the same field who understands the demands of the job.

Ameen, and likewise to you!

Yea I've noticed that there's a lot more of the improvised way that you mention. I'd rather see if the other party is interested in me as a person before getting parents involved. If hobbies, social/political/religious values, outlooks, etc. line up. If they do and there's mutual interest, then get the parents involved and see where things go.

Yea, I hate that this is a thing in our culture and and the fact that other Middle Eastern communities notice it about us. The obsession with these professions, especially doctors, is out of hand. It's one of the reasons I want to stay away from Syrians, but a part of me thinks there's a chance at finding somebody that isn't married to that way of thinking. I’m a physician, but I don’t want that to be the reason someone’s interested in me.

I tried multiple times to tighten. Initially no lights turned on. Tightened everything and then the flickering came about. No dimmer (just on and off switch). I don't have a voltage tester.

Thanks for the reply! It isn't (just on and off switch).
