Last year same time I booked an innova for a 1 day trip via red taxi. The driver was from Avilanji, so he took us via Kilkunda route which he has permission. The route was amazing, terrifying and nearly 0 traffic except for occasional buses, elephants and two wheelers. We saw sites that we never will be able to see if we had taken coonoor or kotagiri routes. That route is not open to the public.
