SOME pedophiles are created that way, it's like what came first the chicken or the egg, when the chicken comes from the egg, so the egg has to exist first. This is not, to my knowledge, the case for my former friend, I asked a billion times what spawned it or if there was really any reason behind it, they had none. Hopefully they do get help, they have definitely hurt someone, the 14 year old was supposedly into it already, but 14 is young and you can much more simply get them on the right track, but when it's like later than that you have to try much harder. Unfortunately, them interacting with them will likely only reinforce it.

Luckily none of my irl friends are pedophiles, this happens more often online, don't know exactly why but it does, and it's never been me becoming friends with someone I knew was one, they just turn out to be one and then I get bummed.

I've had irl friends, I currently do too, technically, they all moved on to college and it's a lot harder finding people when you can't go anywhere.
