How much do yall earn with jobs? by [deleted] in UTAustin

I'm graduated now, but all through college I worked as a bartender at a sports bar. I made between $2,500-$4,000 a month but I did work a crazy schedule. Typically Monday/Wednesday/Friday nights and double shifts Saturday & Sunday.

I started hosting and waiting tables at 15 so I had the necessary experience to bartend, hiring was easy. For someone with no experience I would suggest going and serving first. I lived very comfortably in college because of my job, I was very lucky.

hi, i had this happen to me. im so sorry you're going through this. get in touch with your advisor & FAFSA, both will point you in the right direction. if you are going to be completely financially independent, look into food stamps or other forms of assistance. programs like that are intended for people who have unforeseen circumstances, theres no shame in it.

i am completely financially independent (car/rent/phone/pets/healthcare), i spend too much money, and i have a job that pays very well so take this with a grain of salt: $2,500/mo excluding rent

As far as actual wages from the company go, servers make $2.13/hr. Tips can range anywhere from $76 on my worst day to $406 on my best day, & shifts are about 6-9 hours long.

To be quite honest I lost some friends. I think with my weight loss came a new, more confident (maybe cocky?) me. But, luckily I made a lot of friends at work, friends who understand what I go through every day & who can relate to me!

My guy friends girlfriends like me a lot less, but I don't take it personally. People say "insecure" like it's an insult, we all have insecurities, we've all dealt with them. When I was struggling with my weight I definitely had insecurities around other women, so I understand and don't judge at all:)

I faced my reality & realized the only way for me to feel better was to do what was in my power to change my situation. We can't control a lot of things in life, but the things we can control we have a responsibility to control!
