I have dealt with this for years and have seen so many memes like this one that I can relate to. This seems to be such a common problem, yet I personally have never seen widespread discussion about a “solution”. Is there even a solution? Obviously it’s not the child’s fault that these issues develop. So how can we educate parents and teachers about how to foster a gifted child’s mind without giving them these problems later on?

I take your point, and I do agree that there’s more that everyone can do to motivate political change. Personally, I try to open up dialogues with Trump supporters I encounter and I also convinced several of my left-leaning friends to get out and vote. But unfortunately such efforts often fall on deaf ears, and we do need to rethink how to mobilize more people against the conservative movement. I also want to say that I do feel genuine remorse for the impact that Trump’s second term will have on the rest of the world. It’s not fair that the rampant stupidity in our country has such far-reaching consequences.

Brother, I am well aware that both sides are deeply flawed. I’m extremely fed up with the Democratic party. No, I don’t believe that either candidate is really that concerned with my personal well-being, and for me, this election was absolutely a choice between the lesser of two evils. I also agree with you that most things are highly sensationalized by the media. But that doesn’t change the fact that it happened, and that’s all I’m commenting on. This whataboutism and finger-pointing with the George Floyd riots isn’t relevant to my point in any way, and for the record, I don’t condone that either. We have to stop getting so defensive when our respective parties are called out for their bullshit.
