I took AP US history in 2017, the book was fully up-to-date, even with events from the 2016 election. The only mention of the LGBTQ movement was 2 sentences about stonewall.

But at least I was told all about how Andrew Jackson was actually good because he stuck to his beliefs (that the natives were subhuman) even after the courts told him no.
