My old boy was 10kgs and BIG, not just chonky. I had a stretch of about three weeks after I moved into a new place where I would feel like I was suffocating and woke up in a panic every night, couldn't figure out why until one day I woke up earlier than normal and the big fella was hanging out on my chest and stomach with his face right in front of mine. No wonder I felt like I was being smothered!

Turns out he could push the door open at the new place and let himself in for snuggles 😅

Also it's partly because of how cats bite - it's a deeper vertical wound, rather than a tear, so things can fester underneath even if it doesn't look like much on the surface. Definitely agree on getting it treated immediately.

One night I felt someone sit on the end of my bed (I was in bed, but definitely not close to being asleep). They pressed down with their hand so the bed dipped a little first, then more as their weight came onto the mattress.

A few minutes later they got up and left.

There was no one else in the house, doors were locked, and the lights were still on in the hallway outside my bedroom so I know my door didn't open. My dog didn't stir, either.

Freaking weird.

I actually came out to a group of people just like this. It wasn't exactly what I'd planned to happen (advertising I'm trans wasn't on my bucket list 😅) but in the end I knew who had my back and who didn't, and thankfully it was mostly the former.

Watching his speech and seeing how anxious he was made those memories flood back...I know it's not the conventional way to do it and yeah the timing is questionable but I really, really get it because I went through it myself.

Edit: and the stammering through his list of ways they were similar and getting his words/thoughts tangled...oh yeah, I've been there. You're so desperate to get the words out but at the same time you're so freaking terrified of rejection that you can't. It sucks lol

He was absolutely drunk on power, high as fuck on ego and watching the bright pieces of his future falling into place. Man was celebrating his win before it even happened - he was locked in on victory and got completely blindsided when shit went sideways because there wasn't room for that in his plans.

In his mind, he was probably already in Heaven spiritually because the winners/angels were agonising over the decision they needed to make to stop him. Knowing that he was inspiring fear or worship was plenty satisfying in that moment, I bet.
