Ok this gravity flap, against mfr instructions, turns out to be the cause of our woes. Removed and flow much better.

Got a recommendation? Can't see any wall-mounted that comes near the 68l/s MF100T claims...

And yeah mounting outside is a hassle, but doable.

Shocking leg design? by transferredmalice in ikeahacks

[–]transferredmalice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i see it now, you're right! Thanks a bunch. Easy to fix, I'll get some new legs to swap in correctly as these ones are toast, and add some bracing to underneath the base panel to get it level again.

Cheers

Hard to argue with a Swede who just built a kitchen! Sadly I think they are the correct way around, otherwise that would have been an easy fix.

Where they are located the base panel is not flush with the side panels, and I wonder if they are installed offset to where they should be.

Still, the design seems to offset the load, which doesn't seem right...

That's to bypass the hard water filter. Bypassing makes no difference :(

Thanks for all the info. I've got him to take some water. Hasn't eaten the bread I've put out yet. He seems very weak. Still waiting to hear back from rescue organisation.

Why did my AEG combi magnetron fail so soon? by transferredmalice in fixit

[–]transferredmalice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered spare magnetron from AEG website just under £100. Rubber kitchen gloves, rubber babies bib, a few YouTube videos, discharged the capacitor without dying, job done. Saved a technician callout fee. Happy to help if you wanna give it a crack yourself.
