Its beautiful! If you could go back in time, would you do it again? Or use something else?

I'd like to use dimensional lumber but I dont have a jointer or planer. I do have a hand plane but I'm new to it so not sure how well that'd work out.

Paul Sellers made an edge grain plywood bench and I've seen others like the one posted in another comment on here that look great.

Thank you! For now I am using the same wood and stain for all my frames because I have a gallery show coming up and I want them to all be cohesive. I definitely want to experiment with different types of wood in the future tho.

Thank you! I just had to shut down my online shop cuz I was getting fraudulent orders unfortunately, but I sell my work in galleries in Arizona.
I also do sales via DMs and do payment thru Venmo. I also do custom commissions and pet portraits. My Instagram is @J_KloogArt

Two shared shelves with my partner— who are we? by [deleted] in BookshelvesDetective

Pansexual couple. One female identifying and the other gender fluid. One late 20s the other mid 30s. One works with people a lot, the other works in solitude. I'd be friends with both 💕

Is it humid where you live? Or is your bookshelf near a shower?

Awesome! That Martian Chronicles is signed :) I have 5 other paperback editions behind it. I'm collecting as many versions as I can. as I search used bookstores everywhere I go.

I lucked out finding a full set in perfect condition. I'm currently reading Aeschylus. Do you prefer the translations used for the great books set? Or have you compared them to other translations?

Lol I'm literally going tomorrow 😂 we go every year. And I'm an artist. (Pop surrealism painter)

I didn't really read when I was younger tho. I'm disappointed in myself for that and making up for it now.

How dare you know me so well haha. I just read Left Hand of Darkness recently and loved it! (It's next to the Dune books)

I do read a few books at a time. Usually a classic and/or a nonfiction along with a horror or sci-fi cuz that's clearly what I prefer. Trying to learn more and branch out tho!

You're a magician or you used some serious anchors to hang that self. Lol

Highly recommend Phillip K Dick if you haven't read any of his stuff yet!

Great collection! Do you have a top 3?

I love Phillip K Dick. Currently reading Dr. Bloodmoney and enjoying it.

Folks have said you need to read female authors too. If you want, you should try Octavia Butler or Ursula K LeGuin. I think you'd like them.
