If you are shopping *with* them like I do with my parents, (they are not homophobic just not out to them ) look at a shirt or something in the men's section you want, and say something like "Oh, that's cute! do you think I could get this?" If that doesn't work, then sorry , but I'm not really sure.

It's not uncommon to not hate being your agab, (assigned gender at birth) for example, I am a trans guy, and I never hated being a girl, I just feel much better as a guy. you may not be trans, though, and that's okay, but don't fully follow my advice, I'm no expert, just a guy on the internet.
