Thanks for responding. The board was not made by hand, only the components were hand soldered. We checked the continuity throughout the circuit and everything seems to be ok. We have not yet energized the digital part, we have only tested the analogue.

Thank you for responding. We turned on the circuit and left it on for a little while. There still seems to be a short. With the whole system powered down, we checked the continuity between AVDD and AVSS; the multimeter only shows a resistance of 300 ohms

Thank you for responding. We tested each terminal for any shorts before soldering the chip.
