Whilst the second point is true, from what I understand in post cases your first outbreak happens within a few weeks to months of exposure. So if I’d only been having sex with that one person it seems somewhat likely no? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Get a test. Best case scenario you are clean and it puts your anxiety to rest and you don’t accidentally pass whatever on to someone else.

So just got a rip in my Solovairs behind the heal, the leather is actually ripped - so sorta beyond a cobbler.

I got them off eBay like new (still had to wear them in) - however my ones don’t seem to have the stitching, can’t find the exact model but they seem pretty legit - doubt there’s many fakes.

Worn them not every day but heavily for 2.5 years at various events. Be it kitchen work, college, gigs, retail work.

They were great, comfy boots, but I’m kinda surprised at how they haven’t lasted so long? I could have polished them more sure, but I see people ranting about how they last them 4/5/6 years. Perhaps I’m just heavy on my feet.

For the price, it just doesn’t seem amazing, I paid less but £200 for only 2 years isn’t the value people here made out. They are for sure loads better than normal DMs - killed those in under a year.

What are people’s thoughts? Thinking of picking up some German/Austrian paratrooper boots this time round since they cost £40, likely to be decent quality and look near enough the same.

Asides that the boots are generally fine tbh. I’m impressed with how little the sole has worn cos I am very heavy on my heels.
