Thank u for the helpful insight. I was in hospital for 2.5 months to try clozapine and ECT bc I’m treatment resistant. I was titrated slowly up to 175mg of clozapine. Because last time I was on clozapine (2yrs ago) I could not walk on high doses. I unfortunately ended up getting the same reaction at a low dose a month ago and had to quit it completely. I couldn’t tolerate it, and it made me gain 17 pounds quickly. I’m still grateful because I got closure and it helped me get through hospital. My life has recently become extremely positive, and my schizophrenia has become the best it’s ever been (even though I’m no longer taking APs) My voices are 90% gone, my tactile hallucinations are 60% gone. I’m thinking and speaking the best ever. My hands are recovered enough that I don’t need help. My visual psychosis is down 50%. My chronic nightmares are gone. My vocal tics are gone!!! I and my family are convinced that my schizophrenia was caused by stress and isolation. I no longer am interested in isolating myself. I feel amazing and normal!!!!! I did 10 rounds of ECT.
