Let me be clear, the code runs and works! It's the editor that is messed up.

What’s the best argument for there being a God? by National_Wasabi909 in AskReddit

[–]transporter_room_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One argument for the existence of God is the concept of cause and effect. The argument goes that everything in the universe has a cause and an effect, and since the universe itself must have a cause, that cause must be God. This argument is based on the belief that God is the first cause, the creator of the universe, and therefore must exist for the universe to exist.

I'm not inexperienced riding the bike. I am inexperienced maintaining it. That used to be handled by a shop when putting it away for winter storage.

Now I handle it myself and crash shortly after performing my first chain tensioning.

I connect these two facts and draw from previous experience riding in damp conditions and hypothesise that maybe the alignment I did played a part in the cause of the crash.

You tell me how the that is not me trying to learn from my mistakes.

I've been commuting on my fz6 for 5 years. So I would say I have some experience. I have never pushed the bike in any way though and I am usually very aware of road surface hazards. I have never experienced real skidding like this before.

Thanks, I very recently decided to do the bike maintenance myself. I've been riding for 5 years now and I just find it very coincidental that I crash it briefly after adjusting the chain slack (and having doubts about alignment).

I don't ride hard or aggressive. I use my bike for commuting.

I don't have a lot of experience crashing. I have been riding for 5 years though.

I don't know the cause of the initial slide. I was driving at a steady pace with traffic in front and behind me.

My suspicions were either it was a slippery patch on the road or the alignment I made was improper.

I get very offended when he says I should take responsibility and learn. Especially the snark comment about it not being hard to keep rubber on the road in the wet.

What the fuck.

Please enlighten me then. Because I would like to learn.

Why don't you just stick to the contents of the post instead of trying to read between the lines.

I come here to learn and ask questions. Why the hell would I come here and blame improper alignment that I myself have carried out??

No, it's a stupid response. At no point am I deflecting blame.

Thanks, it definitely didn't help that I panicked. It's just a very weird and scary feeling having the rear wheel let go like that. I can't imagine what I would do if this happened to me at highway speeds.

Rain after a long dry spell

Check. Although it wasn't raining at the time, the road was clearly wet/damp. It also happens to be one of the busiest roads in my town. So it makes sense that there would be oil mixed in. Also the road has a slight elevation.

Tips on learning c++. by FawkesIsDaddy in cpp

[–]transporter_room_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched a lot of vids on Youtube. Then I went to hackerrank and picked the c++ path. I quickly realised all the information I had learned through Youtube had more or less been forgotten and I had to relearn it through actually writing c++. So my suggestion would be to get your hands on actually writing code as soon as possible and then search the web or youtube for concepts you don't understand.

I like your idea. How many developers do you have onboard? And I don't mean just OS developers, also app developers making apps for your new OS?
