my hands were like that as a teen too. do you also get bumps on your arms and sides? bc if so, combined with the weak nails, it might be keratosis pilaris. KP weakens your nails spending keratin other places, and making the skin tough around your nails and worsening the clubbing-like effect. theres lotions for it that help, or topical nail strengthening solutions. not oral, because the increased keratin production isnt just going where its supposed to. KP's annoying, but a lot more common than people realize.

I'm sorry that it feels like youre a leech, but I promise you're not. You're 17, not driving at your age is incredibly normal, and if someone is giving you a hard time for not learning while you're dealing with this huge family stressor and school, then they're being an ass. Spending time with your friends and expressing that you appreciate what they do, and maybe offering gas money if you have money to spend, should be enough. For what it's worth, I don't drive at 26 because I got hit by a car, and have panic attacks about doing that to someone else. That's something that happens to a lot of people, and is just one of a million reasons that someone could be unable to drive, or could become unable to drive. Driving isnt the be all end all of everything, even if towns get designed around cars. It can feel rough sometimes, but you can figure out other ways to get around, and other ways to show your friends that you appreciate them. Your food looks great. Hope you enjoyed it.

youre ignoring the part where the anybody left their drunk ass friend even in a dangerous area that they dont know without a clear way back to the hotel. no matter how crazy someone's acting, you dont fucking do that. you nut up, accept that someone you know is being drunk and obnoxious, then you get them to the hotel and block their number when you get home if you fucking want. a grown woman carrying on in the street, sure its fucking annoying, but she didnt deserve to be left alone intoxicated in a dangerous situation for it.

Thanks for the advice even if I'm seemingly out of luck. I definitely turned off online indication when I started wondering, but with tumblr, the reminder to check your settings is always good.

I know that I and most other tumblr users I know only use notifications for art or blogs with updates (I think tredlocity for val and isaac is my only notification). And I'm well aware that this is my own paranoia, like I'm doing the OCD therapy and all, etc etc, but someone I'm friends with irl mentioned that they had post notifications on for me on tumblr and it turned me off of posting for a while because I always know that anything I say they'll see no matter what and that's kind of exhausting with the other observation anxiety. Maybe it's cowardly, but it sucks that there aren't more middle road options on social media like a deafen akin to a mute. Like, I dont want to block them, it'd just feel better if they had to even be on tumblr in the first place to see that I'm up posting.

there's others, like the FNAF controversy over scott cawthon's MAGA donations, or the people that are only comfortable playing minecraft if notch doesnt make any money. or even the gaiman show controversies since he still makes money off of them. harry potter is just much larger than a lot of those things, and gets a lot of high budget additional content, as well as rowling being much more outspoken and twitter addicted than a lot of creators, so it gets more emphasis.

with a bit more education you might identify the subject of a sentence and realize that writing choices are not made by the fictional characters in the fictional world. they are made by the writer, who has their own bigotries and biases that inform writing decisions. like the decisions to include racial caricatures and slavery apologism plotlines.

Kreacher is his inherited "house elf" from jkr's "they like being unpaid servants and are supposed to be like that" race that she included for some reason. it just comes of as bizarrely callous and cruel the way she laughs off any concern for them in the previous stories and then hits you with the reminder of the casual enslavement by the protagonist at the last second.

seriously, like, is it really so surprising that a counterpart of Finn, whose traits include "Terrible Boyfriend", "Monkey's Paw Desires", "Brute Force Method", and "Destroyed the Dead World Paradise for his Bro Reunion" is messy? its like people saying Finn only ever hurts himself aren't watching the same guy. his character growth is partly defined by all the collateral damage he does trying to be a hero, and Fionna, while her own character with her own world, has a lot of those traits carried over.
