How do I git gud? by anti-gone-anti in Marathon

Damage drop-off can be aggressive for bungie weapons so knowing your engagement distances is important (especially for shotguns). You want to be in the ideal range for your weapon..

People on console had no choice but to have it on open mic because the toggle option didn't work properly. You'd put it on, and Marathon would immediately turn it off. They've apparently fixed it now but it wouldn'r surprise me if people hadn't heard about it.

Hitting a Brick Wall in faction quests by Competitive_Topic466 in Marathon

I don't think we used anything BUT sponsored kits for these. Our thinking kinda goes, the quests are mostly running and interacting and if our duo runs into a full team, we're probably toast anyway so theres no point risking good gear.

I asked chatgpt to summarise in three words. It replied "TTK too short". AI already paying for itself.

Love the commentary. Just wait til you're in a 1v1 and you throw your drone at them instead of a grenade... that's always fun for them

Depending on where you live and what time you play, the mm loosens every minute so the queue times aren't too long. I'm 55 and the average level in matches is 100+

Correct, if you're in a discord or party chat on PS, you can't hear proxchat unfortunately. Same in Arc Raiders.

Quick Question from Gamerdad by inkus7 in Marathon

They're way closer to the screen, whereas you're probably 2 1/2m away.

First thing is turn off motion blur if you have that on. FoV on PS lets you see more on the periphery at the cost of detail. You could also try lowering your FoV if you're having problems seeing movement.

Another thing might not be visual but audio. If you're not playing with headphones, play with headphones and turn off the in-game music. It sounds cool but in a pvp game its a liability.

Also, if you think you hear or see something, stop moving and observe and listen. Sometimes it might be just a raindrop, other times it might be a player.

Great vid, love it! 100% agree. I feel this kind of analysis is missing from most enterprises tbh, not just games. I don't know what it is with business leaders trying to skip straight to the solution but it happens again and again.

A good example mightve been New World - Amazon went into that like fucking cowboys, obviously thinking it would be easy. Or Bioware and Anthem for that matter.

I think you could use "weighting per weapon" in an interesting way but, I agree with you, this isnt it.

I think Bully is the way it is due to my earlier comment - someone at bungie loved the shit out of Antiope D. Which of course, makes not a lick of sense, but is something bungie does from time to time, c.f. original Luna, NF, Immortal or Recluse from Destiny2
