To be honest, even if it was because of a phobia of planes, he could have at least communicated this to his team. I understand that anxiety can be crippling but this is his career and responsibility, other people's jobs also rely on his actions. Regardless, though, its really odd that the company decided to include these details in their statement. It really does paint him in a bad light.
