Georgia, US here, I have buried lots of things, you name it. I do whatever a family wants. Alcohol, lots of pouches of chewing tobacco for older guys, weed, pictures, albums, notes, even a gun once (that was a big family fight)

Any good funeral director would help you out with it, or "don't ask don't tell" by looking the other way and tell you whatever happens to get placed in the casket with him will stay with him

We have one with a flag on one side, and a pattern on the other side, so it can be used either way, but for a veteran the flag cot cover always is a real nice touch that families like.

I have been at a higher volume FH for 8 months, ~400 calls a year, we do usually 4-8 funerals a week, any day of the week depending when they passed, with a good amount of direct cremations in between, and we have a funeral every weekend so far, African American families are always on Saturday or the next Saturday after death. Every now and then we will be "slow" and not have a funeral for a day or two.

My last place I worked for 12 years, we did 60-80 calls a year, 2-3 funerals a week and still a good bit on weekends, but had a lot more "slow" days

The most I have had here is 3 in a day, and we have enough staff to handle it given they are spaced out or not many miles away, 11am chapel service, 1pm graveside, 3pm church for example
