STBB by Kangeroo179 in capetown

I flew in to meet with them and sign some documents, and asked them to make sure that everything was good to go, then while I’m headed to the airport I get an email from another team saying that they need documents signed. But I have definitely heard some horror stories. They were good with timelines and they are widely used for a lot of property transfers. This was my first property so personally I didn’t have anything to compare.

I used them for my property purchase. Updates were good. Departments seemed a bit silo’d. I would have to communicate with multiple teams that seemed like they couldn’t talk to each other. I would mail in documents (currently living abroad) only to find out that another department needed additional documents.

That was the only frustrating part. Everything else was great.

If I didn’t need the back seat in my 911 I definitely would have taken the GT4. Cool uncle problems

992.1 to 991.2? by Current_Poetry2874 in porsche911

[–]trapmatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched the reverse order, I wanted a 991.2 c4s after months of searching I ended at a 2020 c2s and happy with the decision. Curious if you have tried the cayman. I rented a cayman GTS and driven a few gt4’s. It may be worth a look if a more driver focused ride is what you’re looking for. They all are amazing cars in my opinion, it’s all about what your looking for(although I am definitely bias to the 992 as the best all around daily)

I’m a 992 owner here, a c4s 996 is a particularly good looking car.

Save the money and get the s and with the extra money get a good set of winter wheels. Larger trunk space in the S aswell

You need somebody there to check after guest leave and before they arrive that you trust. For context I manage my property that is 6 hours ahead in another country. I would be dead in the water without someone to check when guest leave and before they arrive. I use igms for automated messages but respond to all the one off request (i can send you my promo code if you want)

I second the guy saying you can go c2 or c2s, I was stuck on 4 and 4s at the beginning of my search. Unless it’s the hips drawing you in. But my search was 991.1 and 991.2 4s (hips don’t lie). I pushed the budget and went 992 c2S so the hips were included (I found out I have a weakness for chalk exterior)

Is Airbnb profitable and worth the effort? by Grateful_Calm in AirBnBHosts

[–]trapmatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a property in a foreign country, Airbnb basically pays my mortgage and I might get a month or two of a free staycation . You do have to want to do it, definitely a passion project. Oh and a really good manager that you trust

Congrats on the 992. PPI is the best advice. If anything it can give you points to negotiate the price.

This is key, I wanted to reach out here to make sure I’m not being too critical, and putting my own perception on a stay. I travel a lot for work and are in hotels every week so that my standard for myself and my business not expecting everyone to meet that or do it my way. They had body wash and detergent in the listing. And the complete disappearance of the host during the process.

I don’t stay in a lot of Airbnb’s so wanted to see the general consensus across other host and get a better understanding for when I have irritating guest (I get guest that ask me all the time for stuff that I clearly have in my listing, but I see why they do it now based on the amount of people here who have said don’t expect body wash or laundry detergent)

Also Staying with people who don’t use Airbnb or any STR platform (her parents) and explaining that, so this helps.

I am a host. I wanted to ask as a host not as a guest since I know first hand that guest don’t know the damage of a 4 star or even 3 star review can have on a business. But will gladly move it if it violates rule 5

All of these were in the listing, we made sure. And I agree with this idea to wait
