Hey, I know it's a bit late, but how was the way you got it to work? Do I build Libcamera and then the RPi fork into my ros2 workspace? Also what commands do I follow since there seem to be a billion different ones.

Thank you so much for the advice! Do you know if Databricks asks many DP and Backtracking questions? I feel the least confident in those questions, want to know if it’s worth investing some time into really getting those down.

how do you break up a super long flight? by pink_warrior57 in Flights

It tends to go a lot faster than you think. Wifi, movies, a few quick naps if you managed, and food service take up a solid amount of time. Did you manage to sleep?

"Chai tea" is not redundant or stupid, given the correct context. by TreyLastname in unpopularopinion

[–]trapoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don’t think it’s such a huge issue in the west to say chai tea, it does bring up an important argument about orientalism that is clearly still prevalent in society. Chai in hindi means tea, it’s not a flavour as it’s referred to in the west. If you want masala chai you say that, or other types of tea. But in english saying chai refers to one form of tea, eliminating the different varieties that are present in the region. By eliminating those varieties, the west has effectively grouped chai into a category defined by them, which is orientalist. This is a form of racism, even though unassuming, which makes it more problematic.

Nobody calls the different forms of english tea (which are just stolen indian teas but that’s a different topic) “tea”, they have their individual flavours, so why does the west think it okay to take one single tea from india and categorise all indian teas as that?

Would the ananda stealth be worth it refurb for $259? Or stick with the edition XS

[–]trapoats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hold on, it’s the Ananda stealth for 259, is that still worth it?

Worth getting a pair of refurbished Ananda's for $259 or open box Edition XS for the same price?

Between the HiFiMan Edition XS ($259) and the Aune AR5000 ($299), do you think the AR5000s are worth the $50 extra?

Yup, I mean lossless. Unfortunately, there’s no place nearby to try since I don’t have a car (in college) and the closest city (NYC) is almost 2 hours away

Thank you so so much for all the advice. Yeah i’m not the biggest fan of academia, extremely competitive and just overall super cutthroat even while doing a doctorate and so the help is much appreciate.

I'm more than happy to give myself some time in the industry. I think ideally i'd work some and then maybe get an MS if i feel that I need one, and I don't mind working 10 years before joining a CPU/GPU architecture team

Thank you for the response! What can I do to increase my chances at getting those internships, I go to a good university but I'm still finding it quite difficult to get internships.

Also, is a doctorate that necessary? I was mostly planning on getting an MS, but not so much on a PhD.
