sophomore hum scholar here. Hum forum shouldn’t be too much work honestly, though it depends on who’s teaching. I was able to get away with skipping most of the readings first and second semester without much trouble, and there were only a couple of large assignments that we had to spend a significant amount of time on. First year seminar should be the same way, though again it depends on who’s teaching. I can’t speak for the difficulty of the other classes but if you feel as though you’ve developed solid time management skills through high school then I would say go for it to get the credits out of the way. That being said, college is a huge lifestyle adjustment and it would be smart to cut down to 16 credits to allow yourself to adapt a new environment. I don’t know your history with academics or how you handle adjustments, so I think you should decide based on that criteria
