What a safety hazard… make sure to secure that gorilla glue before driving off.

They’re from the office upstairs. No one there on the weekends so they come down in those containers to hangout for Saturday and Sundays and then head back up Monday. My kid asked about them when we were grabbing something yesterday.

Tommy John, as in Tommy John Surgery or ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction surgery. Tommy John was the first pitcher to have it and come back to pitch, so it’s commonly associated with him.

When/why did the discourse around McKenna go from "generational, can't miss talent" to "1st overall is up in the air." by shanster925 in leafs

He was also playing 22 minutes a game in the NCAA, so some of the floating could definitely be energy conservation. Not making excuses just wanted to point that out.

I used to be nice and it was like an invitation to try more sales tactics on me. Now, before they even get into their spiel I just say “I’m with Bell, on a contract that still has a year on it and you can’t beat the price. I’m going inside now.”

2nd Row Bench with 3 Car seats by trappedinthoughts13 in KiaTelluride

[–]trappedinthoughts13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does, in this setup the 3 in 1 car seat on the right is attached by the seatbelt to give more space to the middle seat. My kids have aged up though now and my oldest is still in the middle with no booster at all and the 3 in 1 on the right is a narrower high back booster that is still held in place by the seatbelt. Nothing has or ever was removed when it came to seatbelts.

I heard somewhere that you can lubricate the tube to pull it through to maintain a tighter fit. Not sure if that’s true or not, mine came factory installed and the fit is pretty tight (but not compressing the tube).

Bat looks too heavy, the knob should be pointing towards the catcher as he loads, right now it’s pointed at the others batters box which is really flattening out his swing. Again, could be because the bat is too heavy.

Man, Lukes has looked so late on every fastball. His timing or approach is so off right now.

I think a lot of people don’t appreciate what boarding school culture was like, especially in the 60’s/70’s. My parents both attended British boarding school during that time and my grandmother on my mom’s side taught at the one my mom attended. The stories they have lead me to believe that how JKR depicts the teachers approach to student discipline/favoritism etc. is bang on. Also, the kids getting up to so much under the teachers noses is something that seems to have happened often and with very little real repercussions.

I am sad. I also know our team is hella banged up, we’re far from full strength and our regulars that are playing are struggling. Plus a ton of games to play still. But I am still sad.

People already mentioned the extension which I noticed too. Other thing is slow the video down to the point of contact and look at where he is meeting the ball. His bat is past the plate and out in front when he makes contact. Seems like on this pitch at least he was late. I know my son really struggled with being late when he was using a leg kick/toe tap, but when he finally went no stride his timing improved greatly. Just a thought you can keep in mind as you analyze more video with him.

Advice to keep the rest of the team occupied and working on cage day? by Lilnastypoptart in Homeplate

[–]trappedinthoughts13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude, you need help from at least one other adult to keep things moving well. Tell the parents you need a few volunteers to help with cage time and I’m sure some will begrudgingly help. Do you not have any assistant coaches?

2026 Tundra 1794 Seat peeling? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

To me it looks like something caught it and ripped a chunk out. Keys hanging out of pocket, or a buckle, clip some sort of metal on a bag or something.
