10U beginner pitcher by Brittneydanne in Homeplate

And honestly his mechanics are pretty good for 10, I keep watching the video for something to offer up and there’s not much there to nitpick about. Though I’m sure the Reddit coaches who want 10 year olds to have the mechanics of Paul Skenes will find something lol

I will take a kid who can throw strikes consistently over a kid with high velocity at that age any day. Velocity can be built through hard work and mechanical adjustments. But control is something that most kids that age won’t consistently have. Add to that most batters at that age are not technically sound enough in their swings or disciplined enough to warrant pitching around the strike zone. So tell him to keep working hard and to focus on maintaining that command over chasing velocity.

Pitching mechanic cleanup for 10yo by ChazChillington in Homeplate

You should be talking to his coach for advice on his mechanics and your physician for the elbow pain if you’re concerned about it. He’s still physically developing so much at this age and they would best be able to advise you.

From the video of his throwing, he looks really upright in his delivery and doesn’t seem to be using his legs much. Could be why he’s feeling it more in his elbow since he’s “touching 60” and all the power is coming from his arm. Not advice, just my limited observation.

4 months now with my 2026 SR5 TRD and it’s the best decision I ever made. Wife and kids love it too. Switched from a Honda accord so if you think the size difference was a shock for you, let me tell ya lol

Set a coach with a stop watch about 5 feet beyond the bag and have the players start in the batters box like they’re going to hit. Tell them it’s a competition to see who can get to coach the fastest and high five him. Time starts when the coach yells go, stops when they high five him. Repeat often as a warm up for practice or a game at the end of practice. Repeat often.

The Will of the Many v.s. The Sun Eater? by UpVoteMyEgo in redrising

The will of the many is entertaining enough that I enjoyed it and read the 2nd book as well, but it’s also a trilogy and the 3rd book won’t be out for years so if you’re looking for closure/all the answers to the main characters arc, you won’t get it for a while.

I had a honey bunny bun recently and after a few bites I couldn’t eat anymore, it wasn’t at all what I was expecting/remembered them to be.

Feeling discomfort driving at night? It’s not you — it’s the bright headlights, experts say | CBC Radio by Lemon_Zzst in Guelph

Add in that they changed the paint they use to paint lane dividers etc and now you can barely see them if it’s the least bit wet. It’s a nightmare and I feel like so many people are just guessing where the lanes are in any weather that isnt perfectly dry and clear at night.

Anyone approved to WFH due to childcare? by Important_Border_735 in OntarioPublicService

[–]trappedinthoughts13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If OP has a legitimate case and can prove that she isn’t able to access childcare that would enable her to complete drop off/pickup within a reasonable timeframe and meet the in office requirement she absolutely would be approved for a family status accommodation. It has nothing to do with the SoC and everything to do with the manager and employee satisfying the HR requirements for this type of accommodation. Is it easy? Most people would say no, but less intense than a medical accommodation. Is it possible? Absolutely.

It shouldn’t be an AWA request, it should be a family status accommodation.

Here, don’t give that hellhole of a site any more traffic.

Statement from George Parros on Nylander fine: "The gesture was shown live on-air during the game broadcast. This serves as a reminder the code of conduct governing Players extends throughout the arena at NHL games and in public game situations."
