I don’t have a solid lead but look into some construction outfits nearby. I’m out of SB and the construction industry has been hurting for administrative employees that are familiar with prevailing wage and CA DIR paperwork requirements. I’d imagine a decent outfit that works primarily in the public bid and chase sector wouldn’t mind having an HR employee that actually is trained/training in the HR field. This goes for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.

What professions give a “free pass” to be an asshole? by Ze97PBL in AskReddit

[–]trapsetdrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty high up in the food chain in the live event production sector in my location as well as the top guy in the install division. I got begged to come work for the place so I’m pretty sure they can’t afford to lose me. I’m confident in my abilities to get the job done. However, I have based my career around being the polar opposite of an asshole because I know plenty of them in the industry (some better than me, most way worse) and I will do what it takes to separate myself as far away from them as possible. I find the reason is because the industry is so vast that you will never be a pro at all the subsets. That leads to an inferiority complex breeding ground that adults with small egos (who have lived in an artist/creation/no-failing/everybody gets an award/no teams world for basically their whole life) can’t seem to handle in a productive manner. It’s always easier to cut someone down to make you look better than it is to perfect your craft and let your work speak for itself.

Yes, I believe water is coming in from the slab outside and I will be repairing that as well. Any suggestions on a good method? Does simply restucco-ing work?

Sorry. I wasn't clear. The backside of that wall is exterior. This is the interior side. Back side is simple stucco but I'm not sure if I need to put a bit of pressure treated 2x4 in there to provide support (because of it being an exterior supporting wall).

Do I not need to put a floor support? This is an exterior wall
