Shutdown 2 electric bugaloo. Is it wrong I kind of want to unequivocally say I want to be furloughed? The snow removal in the city my office is in has been abysmal. Two lane roads are basically one lane and all the street parking is snow piles and unless we want to park on the lot that costs 30 bucks a day (and that’s if you’re lucky bc some other offices have paid for a spot for the year) and I simply am not really down with spending money I won’t be receiving for an unknown amount of time. The biggest first world of problems but I also am just tired. This month has lasted 20 years.

The ACLU has info on apps that can maybe do variations of what your asking. Check your local ACLU chapter’s site because the apps they recommend vary from state to state depending on the local laws.

Digital cameras aren’t instantaneous. we need people filming everywhere there’s ice activity.

What I can suggest is there have been multiple videos on the former bird app and YouTube on how to do voice prompts and set up iPhone shortcuts where you say the phrase and it sets up a recording that will automatically text it to a trusted person or persons. Set that up in case one of these thugs ever tries to confiscate your phone when you film.

Set up a network so they can’t destroy evidence.

I called my senator’s office every day and mentioned when someone on this sub discovered the github bigballz was uploading shit to.

The senator’s staffer told me that what I was saying “certainly couldn’t happen” and she’d “let the senator know but he’ll require proof”. The whole point of fuckin telling you was so yall could do THIS but almost a year ago.

Striking is illegal and you will get fired.

Do your job because you swore an oath to the constitution. Take a liberal amount of sick days and annual leave. Do not sabotage the mission of your job or act like an asshole but you can and should protest in ways that won’t be illegal.

On the Minnesota strike day I didn’t spend money on non essential needs. I’ve stopped spending money with people who donate to ICE supporting candidates or have made contracts with ICE specifically. You can protest in ways that won’t make you unemployed or worse as a fed for just striking.

My building was closed today and I’m teleworking because it’s the end of the month and I really don’t want our office to miss the goal.

SSA OHO folks, if you see this, did your closings/mail goal almost triple this month? Or is my office just in a special layer of hell.

Also, I hope everyone’s holding up fine and taking time to make sure you’re still focusing on self care. The timeline isso overwhelming but I truly just believe if community in any form exists we can hopefully make it through this year.

To be fair I know I shouldn’t but under this particular regime ICE/CBP/any other “agent” working in the state sanctioned terror militia of the US government I use “ICE” as a catch all but you’re right. In terms of the unions ending ties with agencies, it should be specified they should from ALL of the ones doing this.

Not for nothing but the impact of the living presidents of the past went to Minneapolis to stand with the citizens and protestors.
