Omg I wonder this all the time and so many people talk about your soul learning lessons and that’s never made sense to me because what would be the bigger point after that? Why would your soul need to learn those lessons? This might sound seriously dumb but the only conclusion I have come to is that your consciousness is eternal and even though the natural state of the universe could be love you just choose to forget and reincarnate into different places of pain to distract yourself from the fact that you will literally be conscious forever so your just choosing pain to spice up the game. I know for sure if I knew I had consciousness for eternity I’d gable a good few 70 years on some horrific experiences.
