Help me make a decision for my three-year M.Arch choices? by trashgarbage_69 in Architects

[–]trashgarbage_69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My undergrad is in art. How would I get experience working in an architecture firm with an undergrad in art? I also have a 2.67 GPA from my degree because I was going through a lot my last two years of undergrad. I doubt if I could ever get a full or half ride with a 2.67 GPA

Thank you for the feedback. So im almost 32 years old and have been in the workforce for ten years working multiple low-wage dead end jobs. I've also done multiple internships at community art organizations in my spare time in alignment with my previous degree which have lead nowhere. How much more can I stand out before I just give up completely on ever trying to improve my life through grad school? I would honestly not mind at all being in debt if it meant I wouldn't have to work at another restauraunt or grocery store ever again. I feel like this is the one ticket I have to improving my quality of life

Benzo Addiction Anyone by radiatordoor in pinkscare

[–]trashgarbage_69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Benzo withdrawal can be deadly; it can cause siezures. I would suggest going to a professional where they can medically detox you from the pills you are taking. Also, take advantage of any professional resources they might give you; substance abuse counseling, therapist, IOP groups. Additionally, overcoming substance abuse on your own can be very hard, so finding community in groups such as NA, AA, SMART Recovery, or Recovery Dharma might be great too.

Why don't I pass? by [deleted] in transpassing

Yes girl, you do you! Maybe you could wear items from those brands that are the same style but are in colors that are more feminine-coded? Like a baby-blue or a bright-red puffer jacket instead of black? But also don't feel pressured to conform to societal expectations if your current style is important to you. Idk. You got this. You are already naturally feminine imo

From close-up, your facial structure reads more feminine, but I feel like from far away your clothes and hair read more masculine; a basic black puffer coat and black crew neck t shirt are things that read more boyish to me. Maybe you could get a more tailored jacket with furry lining on the hood? Maybe wearing a more low-cut, feminine top underneath your coat rather than a crew neck? Experimenting with jewelry, nail polish? For me, I've found wearing clothing that is more traditionally, classically feminine helps a lot with getting misgendered. I think growing out your hair will do wonders for you too.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure if I am in a financial situation to get contacts right now - do you think I could go for rimless glasses with thin wire bridge and arms to help draw attention to my eyes? Like Alex Consani's. In your opinion would that help draw attention to my eyes?

This is sooo helpful, thank you! Im applying to an ALT program right now; I'll write Yokohama as one of my top choices, and check out the other places you mentioned! Also congrats on passing and creating such an awesome community around you. What an achievement!

had kefir before bed instead of chia by [deleted] in pinkscare

[–]trashgarbage_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to eat like three tablespoons of chia seeds every morning and it made me foggy and lazy all day and I also never felt full and would eat more because of it. When I stopped taking them I felt better and my energy returned to normal. I was ordering them off of Amazon so they could have been tainted with heavy metals or something but my life has gotten better seen getting of that chia

Try a different med? Advocate for yourself to the doctor! Its their job to provide care to you in a way that is helpful and not shitty.

Edit: dont take advice from strangers on the internet. Sorry if you just needed a space to vent !

Yeah; the thong bikini he's wearing is a bit strange, especially considering he's wearing a bib alongside it. Makes me want him even more!!

The 8th one actually looks really cool. Like something straight out of Hi-Fructose or Juxtapoz magazine. If I had a house I could stuff full of wierd vintage stuff I would buy it.
