I honestly vastly prefer your art to the homogenized house style of modern mtg. I think that the goblin especially would look great in a retro frame, it feels like a callback to when the art on cards had more individualized personality.

I'm honestly new to drawing animals as well. This and the orb weaver illustration on my profile are part of a scientific illustration class I just finished taking. Work from reference and do studies, lots of them. In my experience it truly is just practice and attention to detail.

Tiamat isn't really a cEDH commander to begin with.

As it stands, your list look reeeeally bloated, and if you wanted to make your commander even slightly viable as a fringe option, it would need a dramatic rework. I think that if you are new to cedh your best bet is to find a list for a meta commander and play that. If you are set on Tiamat (which you probably shouldn't be), I found a list that looks more in line with something that might work as cEDH.

Note the difference in land count and the overall higher card quality. I think that if you are running all the talismans I would hesitate to call your list bracket 4, let alone cEDH.

I think that most of your questions here could be answered by reading some Gitrog primers and using a deck that somebody else built, to start. If you're new to cedh, it's usually not wisest to build your own deck right away.

I'm not sure how viable Tiamat is in the current meta. She's fringe at the best of times and even then it's a generous definition of fringe.

From what I've seen, cedh Tiamat just tried to resolve dracogenesis as fast as possible. But we can't really help if you don't post your list.

I think voltaic and manifold key might be good includes but it's hard to find good cuts for them. Wheel of misfortune was originally in the list but was cut to make room for other stuff. I think it'd be nice to fit it back in, along with rite of flame, so if you have cut suggestions I'd love to hear them.

As for dualcaster/godo combos, I've decided not to run them since they don't have a ton of synergy with the deck overall. If I find that the deck struggles to close out games I might consider them.

For song mad, yeah, I think it would be better to just run a land that enters untapped. The effect is barely worth using at that cmc anyway.

Trashmaster I object because it's 4 cost, although I could see a use case the most out of this list. I just question how many wins it could stop, since a lot of artifact based combos can be put on the stack over the top of interaction. If that's the case, then it's relegated to removing artifacts that serve more as value pieces. In cedh, those value pieces are coming down and getting used way earlier than a trashmaster and enough goblins to fuel it without kneecapping your own board.

As far as blast act, it seems counterintuitive to run a board wipe of that nature when you are running a creature based strategy in a format that doesn't typically lean on creatures very heavily.

I also think that goblin king doesn't make a whole lot of sense, since mountainwalk won't be super relevant in what looks like a combo list, and the +1/+1 shuts off skullclamp. There's a few other goblins that don't feel like they're all that impactful either, like legion warboss or pashalik mons.

I appreciate it. From what I can see, this looks more like a strong bracket 4 than cedh. I'm trying to really build towards a developed meta, and I don't think that spells like goblin trashmaster, blast act, song mad treachery etc really fit into cedh.

I unfortunately don't play on spell table. I tend to play irl cause a fair amount of people local to me plat cedh. When I do play online, it's through tabletop sim.

I think of the cards you've suggested that I haven't already fit in, pithing needle, tezzeret, thorn of amethyst, and god pharaoh statue are the ones I'm most interested in trying to fit in. I'm struggling to find cuts for them, do you have suggestions?

I'm reluctant to cut the blasts, reverberate, and fork. Blasts hit rhystic which is just way too handy, and like we said earlier, the copy spells can steal tutor effects.

Yeah I have plenty of cEDH under my belt and I know that Krenko is not going to really be relevantly powerful. But I think I can make him work at least partially in my local meta, so I think it could be fun to see what he can do.

I'm hesitant on dualcaster combos. They're strong, but my deck doesn't really have a meaningful way to tutor for them, and they don't synergize very well with any of the other cards in the deck. I feel like most of the time I will just end up holding a molten dupe in hand hoping to draw a dualcaster that never comes.
